A Noble Daughter's Reprisal

At some point, Lee had broken away from the group. Eva did not realize this until the sun set and they had determined a place to camp for the night. Before she knew it, Lee had come out of the forest with a hunting bag similar to what Lucas had used on their trip to the Capital. It was filled to the brim. She felt a whole new respect for the knight that seemed to always be at Lucas' side.

He had apparently met Lucas in the time they were apart. Eva felt a bit jealous of all the time he got to spend with Lucas. However, Lucas only seemed focused on her since they stopped for the night. It was so embarrassing that she couldn't bother to look at either Lee or Leyla for the entire night.

Lee and Leyla set up the camp before them with not a word. Lucas simply laid out a blanket and forced Eva to sit in front of him so she could lean against him by the fire. She wanted to help set up the camp as well, but Lucas' iron grip kept her in place.
