seal the deal

"Iyare I promised you an opportunity to take your revenge on all those who hurt you in your past life. That includes those that are present here. But, of course, this is if you are willing to take the deal," Louis immediately told her.

He did not want to give her time to change her mind.

Iyare looked at Louis when she heard what he said. He must have read her thoughts, which is why he made the reminder.

" I will take the deal, Louis," Iyare said with a determined look. She will do it for her grandfather, who died when she was four. His life was cut short by those selfish people.

She will do it for her mother, who lives a miserable life. She will not forgive her for taking it out on her; she can never recognize her as her mother in this life.

She will do it most notably for her grandmother, who loved her so dearly. If her parents were reunited, her grandmother would not have sacrificed her life for her dream Iyare told herself.

Louis smiled when he heard her reply. There is nothing he likes more than killing people but the god of death will not let him kill anyone, but he could do as he wishes, signing deals like with humans.

He enjoys watching the scene of humans murdering humans. The scent of fresh blood was very satisfying to him.

"Now that I have decided to take this chance, you offer what's the next step?" Iyare asked Louis.

" You have to seal the deal," Louis replied. "How do I seal the DEAL?" Iyare asked. She was getting impatient, as she wanted to fully enter into this second chance, take her revenge, and enjoy the life that was made for her.

"Blood, human blood," Louis answered.

Iyare hated the idea that she would have to murder people, but she decided not to touch an innocent soul. She could not back away now; she is no coward after all.

"How do I do this" Iyare asked.

"All you have to do is kill someone with your own hands. Of course, the person must bleed for it to count," Louis explained. Iyare nodded her head.

The bleeding was the best part of it for Louis. He enjoyed watching humans struggle for life.

"How long do I have to seal this deal?" Iyare asked. "12 hours, "Louis answered her question." oh, and when you miss the sacrifice, you will die, "Louis said.

Iyare looked at Louis; why was he just telling her this after she took the deal. He promised to tell her everything, no tricks.

" Hey, don't look at me like that; I told you about the sacrifice. I just forgot to mention it was also your lifeline. You are dead, So it is a life for a life. got it?" Louis asked.

He knew she would not back out now. Iyare nodded her head in reply to his question. She would kill anyway, so one more reason makes no difference. Louis's lip had a mischievous smile.

"Let's head back to my room. I am sure some people are downstairs waiting for me."

....

Present.

Iyare straightens her gown, ready to go downstairs.

"Someone has been feeding you poison," Louis informed her. Iyare looked at him; she was not surprised. It was apparent Mr Charles had his eyes in the house already. Why else will a threat come in so quickly? " I will deal with it," she informed Louis and went.

Downstairs.

Louis could not tell her who, but he could give the cue. He is not allowed to directly turn two humans into enemies that will interfere directly in their lives. But he could give out cues about things that already happened. Only the god of fate can predict what will happen next.

The workers have been waiting for her for over five hours. Some of the maids even went up to her room to knock again, but there was no answer.

They would have all gone back to their duty post, but they were scared of losing their job if she came down after they left.

Among the workers, a maid was smiling to herself. She was not as worried as the rest. Maybe the poison final took its effect.

Someone suggested that they break the door and check to make sure she was okay, since she was not answering, the maids that went to knocked on the door. She immediately kicked against it.

They might save her if they broke down the door before she died. She took a look at the wall clock and smiled again.

Everyone waiting was worried; the maid who delivered the package earlier was still scared. She did not want to lose her job. It was all she had. Her husband was dead, and she had three kids to look after.

Iyare walked down the stairs slowly. She felt a little scared, knowing that someone there wanted her dead.

Once she got into the sitting room, the workers got up and bowed their heads, greeting her. Iyare nodded her head in response and took her seat.

"I want a cup of coffee," Iyare said when she was comfortably seated. "I will go get it," a maid quickly offered. Iyare nodded her head and sat quietly.

Someone here wants her dead; she was hoping the person was the one who offered to get the coffee since it was an opportunity to feed her more poison.

Everyone in the room was quiet and confused; they knew she had called this meeting because of the package she had received earlier. So why was she acting casually like everything was alright?

The maid who saw how angry she was when she first received the package was shocked to see her looking quiet and peaceful again.

The maid returned with the coffee. She was the same maid who was thinking Iyare should be dying. Maybe she did not use enough poison, so Iyare survived after a little struggle. She noticed the dark circle around Iyare eyes and concluded that the poison was kicking in already.

How could she guess Iyare has been crying for the past five hours. She offered Iyare the coffee. Iyare looked at her but made no attempt to take the cup.

She did not want to accuse the wrong person, so she acted casually while watching the maid's expression. "What's your name?" Iyare asked.

"Josephine," the maid answered.

Iyare nodded her head and collected the cup of coffee. She looked into the maid's eyes and took the cup close to her mouth like she would drink it. She stopped when the cup was close to her mouth and looked past Josephine to the others in the room.

"I want you all to introduce yourself and your duties in the house," she instructed. So they immediately started introducing themselves.

Iyare was not really paying attention. Instead, she was looking at Joshpine from the corner of her eyes.

Josephine's eyes were on the cup of coffee in Iyare's hand. Iyare made to drink the coffee again but stopped and turned to Josephine, who quickly looked away.

"Josephine," Iyare called, and the worker introducing himself stopped.

"Ma," Josephine answered respectfully. No one could tell what was going on in Josephine's mind at that time. Iyare signals her to come closer. Josephine did, wondering why she called her. Iyare handed over the coffee to her.

"Drink," Iyare said.

Josephine was shocked. Josephine knew she had added a little poison to the coffee; how could she drink it. Although the poison was slow to work, there was no remedy, and the quantity added was enough to hurt her even if it did not kill her. I" am so stupid, "she curses herself in her mind.

Iyare must have noticed that she had been poisoned. How could she be stupid enough to still add poison to the coffee?

" Drink," Iyare repeated herself when she noticed the look on Josephine's face. Josephine nodded her head. She couldn't drink it because it was poised.

"MA, I can't drink from the same cup as you," Josephine said. She knew her excuse was stupid, but she tried to buy herself time to think.

"I don't mind, drink," Iyare repeated herself. She tried not to sound too serious.

Josephine took a sip from the coffee. A little bit will not kill her, she thought. " I meant everything," Iyare said when she saw Josephine only took a sip. At this point, Josephine knew she was done for.

She deliberately lose her grip on the cup, and it fell off her hand, and the coffee spilt all over the floor.

"Sorry, ma, it slipped," Josephine apologized so sincerely that one would believe that her hand had slipped.

Iyare nodded her head a little, then picked up the cup of coffee and noticed there was still a little coffee.

Iyare picked up her phone and called Shelley. She was unsure if she could trust Shelley, but she wanted to try.

The other workers stood there confused, not knowing what was going on. Josephine was about to breathe a sigh of relief when she had what Iyare said over the phone.

"Shelley, I need you to come to the house. I want you to take a sample for a test."

When Josephine heard this, she broke into a cold sweat.
