A lost souls memories

Luxe sinks into the pool her mind instantly goes to the palace of the dragons. There she sees a boy who seems to be around the age of ten. His black hair has a purple sheen in the sunlight . They are sitting next to a coy pond feeding the fish. There is a commotion from across the flowered courtyard. Looking towards ruckus they see a man racing out of a room his white apron covered in blood.

"My big sister is having her baby today. You want to sneak in and watch my niece or nephew born. The dr left the door open, we can hide in the closet." Seo Shin takes a tiny hand in his as they walk quietly into the room. All of the maids are rushing about and don't notice them. Seo Shin's sister is on the bed blood is everywhere. Her breathing is labored, she is drenched in sweat her long black hair stuck to her skin. As a pain goes through her stomach . I begins to move the baby is moving inside of her stomach causing her great pain. The two children slip into the closet leaving it open just enough for them to see. Seo Ki holds the tiny hand in his tightly. The watch in horror as Seo Shin's sisters stomach is ripped open by a claw coming from inside. Chloe swallows the vomit and burrows her face in Seo Shin's shirt . Her chest tight and throat hurts from trying not to cry out. The screams get louder as the maids begin to scream. Chloe peaks out and Seo Shin's sister is looking in their direction her eyes lifeless. The baby dragon is eating on her insides. Seo Jun comes into see what the commotion is about seeing his sister ripped to shreds he takes a sword from the wall and slices the baby dragons head off. Just then Seo Taizu comes into the room. He sees the carnage of his child and grandchild. Sinking to the floor he begins to weep. The Dr tries to comfort the king.

"Your majesty I am sorry, I do not know how this happened. The only thing I can think of is that the dragon blood of old was too strong. Her body kept the egg inside like a human child but when the dragon egg hatched it was that of ancient times. I do not know how it happened. This has only happened in the early years after the change occurred. That was so long ago that I did not think such strong blood ties still existed." The Dr bows in apology to Seo Taizu. In his grief Seo Taizu takes the sword from Seo Jun driving it through the heart of the Dr.

"Prepare the funeral pyre,we will send them off into the wind at sunset." Seo Taizu covers the dead before turning away from them. Walking out of the room leaving the maids to take care of the dead. Seo Jun sees his brother in the closet his eyes glowing with blood lust. Seo Shin skin is shifting between dragon and human form, but Seo Shin is too young to control it. Seo Jun opens the closet and grabs Chloe before Seo Shin can harm her.

"Get the young master out of here. We do not need another death today." Seo Jun calls to one of the maids as he carried a crying Chloe back to her mother.

"Chloe it is ok, Seo Shin would never hurt you on purpose. He is just to young to control all of his emotions. He will be ok the next time you see him I promise." Seo Jun whispers in the child's ear. Coaxing her till she has fallen asleep. Selene and Inari are sitting in the sun room waiting for news of the birth when Seo Jun comes in carring a sleeping Chloe.

"Oh ,young master I'm so sorry let me take her." Inari goes to stand but Seo Jun stops her.

"Mother you are needed to attend to Seo Shin and father. I'm sorry to say but Aye has passed and so has the child. Father has ordered the funeral pyre for sunset. Seo Shin was hiding with Chloe to see the birth. He now is in the mist of blood lust. " Seo Jun hands Chloe to Inari he turns and walks out without a word.

"Oh I have have to go. Selene,Inari go back to your rooms and don't come out till I send for you. Make sure you keep the doors bolted." Seo Jun's mother rushes out with out another word. Looking around making sure no one is around. Selene and Inari shimmer back to their rooms. Inari lays Chloe on her bed and sighs as she looks down at her daughter.

"I do not know how much longer I can keep her with us. She only has two more years and then I will need to find her a home. One where she will be safe. " Inari brushes Chloe's hair from her cheek as she watches her sleep.

Luxe rises from the pool and begins to cry.

"It was so horrible, the mother had no way of knowing that what she carried was an egg. When the dragon hatched it devoured its mother. For some reason her child did not develop like they expected. Then the one I saw earlier killed the baby dragon. Her death was no one's fault. The boy Seo Shin with the smell of the blood his dragon senses took over even though he was trying to fight it. He was just to young to control it. I think I can control my feelings now that I understand Chloe's fear. She only became afraid of Seo Shin after Chloe saw his blood lust. They both were just to small to understand. I have just one question,why did the father of the child never come?" Luxe asks Inari.

"No one knew who he was. Aye never told anyone who he was. No one ever saw her even talking to a man that was not family. So we never found out." Inari tells Luxe.

"Maybe if we find the baby's father and take him to Seo Taizu. Seo Taizu will be able to find peace. I remember Crystal told me once that Aunt Remi had a hard time. That she never told anyone who Crystal's father was. Could his anger be so strong because he doesn't understand why this happened?" Luxe asks inari as she dries off and gets dressed.

"I don't believe anyone has ever thought about it. Dragons are not ones to share their thoughts easily. That is something we may need to find out. Now go see your sister and get to know her groom before the ceremony tomorrow. Seo Jun is a gentle being he would not harm you. He is one dragon I know you do not need to fear." Inari hugs her granddaughter before shimmering back to her garden. Thinking about what Luxe had to say .

"I wonder if I should visit my old friend after the ceremony. Though it will need to be in disguise. I don't want to have to give any explanations. " Inari thinks to herself as she gets her gift ready .

Meanwhile Luxe is sitting on Jasmine's bed playing with her hair.

"So every time you find a part of his pearl you change also. I like these changes , don't get me wrong. I just don't want to lose the sister I watched grow up." Luxe finishes braiding Jasmine's long hair.

"I know ,but I'm still recognizable. The changes have been subtle. It is like I highlighted my hair and have colored contact lens in. I just feel bad that Seo Jun has such a hard time. The first time it wasn't so bad. This last time was bad. My ears were ringing loudly and he had such pain he passed out. I hope that it's not going to get worse." Jasmine's sighs and lays on the bed.

"I can't imagine, did you know that the girl fox that my soul is joined to? She was there when Seo Jun lost his sister. She watched her die. I don't know how long she stayed after that occurred. So that would mean technically I met him before you." Luxe teases Jasmine. Jasmine throws her pillow hitting Luxe in the face.

"I sometimes wish I was more like you. I am so dull compared to you. Your good at everything where I struggle. I just want to help him to reset the balance in his world. I felt something strong and amazing the first time I saw him in a vision. I have never felt that way before. It was like I belonged to someone. With the family it's different. I know I belong even if I have no gifts. Not all of us got them. I still felt like an outsider at times though. With him it's like we are one heart. It's hard to express to others." Jasmine covers her face shyly.

"It's not that hard, I understand after all we grew up with the stories of grams and paps love story. If it's destined nothing can stop it from happening. So you my sweet little sister get to do something first for a change. Sweet dreams now you have a big day tomorrow." Luxe hugs Jasmine before going to her room.
