Hand Fasting day 4
Seo Jun takes his brides hand in his ready to start the ceremony.
"Uzil and City will you wrap the binding threads around their wrist?. " Father asks
City starts to wrap the treads showing Uzil exactly how they go. When completed the treads are intricately wrapped around their wrist and close to their elbows with the symbols resting on their joined hands.
"Do you Seo Jun take Jasmine as not just your wife and mate but as your partner in all things. To love,cherish and protect her at all costs? To place her above all others?" Father asks Seo Jun
"I do" Seo Jun answers without hesitation.
"Jasmine do you take Seo Jun as your husband, mate and partner?To love cherish and protect at all costs. To place him above all others." Father asks Jasmine.
"I do." Jasmine replies. Father nods to City for his part of the ceremony. City steps forward with a small knife . He pricks the tip of Seo Jun's finger next to the symbols on the thread allowing Seo Jun's blood to be drawn into the symbol. Once the heart of the symbol is half way full he pricks Jasmine's finger. When her blood mixes with Seo Jun's the threads begin to glow with a bright light filling the threads. Seo Jun eyes glow a bright silver as his body begins to shift into dragon form. The heat of his body increases as he changes. Jasmine can feel the heat prickling her skin as if she is in the heat of the sun. Seo Jun's body begins to emit a blue flame from his chest. It completely consumes Jasmine as she is lifted off the ground. City begins to chant in ancient dragon tongue.
"By fire we are joined as loves passion rages. Let the dragons fire become your fire the flame of your love." Cut recites the words three times as Jasmine's body absorbs Seo Jun's fire. Jasmine unknowingly begins to change her body transforms into the cultivated human form of a nine tail. Her tails are the same silvery bright light as Seo Jun's flame. Her tails come out to surround the two of them. Seo Jun's dragon eyes meet Jasmine's they are consumed with his flame completely. Jasmine touches Seo Jun's face softly as she molds her mouth to his. Kissing him deeply not caring that his skin is rough with scales. As their kiss deepens Seo Jun begins to shift back into human form. Seo Jun pulls Jasmine into his arms holding her tightly has he deepens their kiss. Reluctantly Seo Jun pulls away from Jasmine to look at her beautiful glowing eyes.
"We are joined now for the rest of our lives. We have become one." Seo Jun tells Jasmine as her tails retract and they are both back to human form . Standing in front of their guest they hear Father clear his throat.
"Jasmine , you now understand why your gifts never manifested. You like your grandmother are a powerful light barer. Just as It took her being with her soulmate to bring her powers out. So has yours come to you. Look at your hands you now both have a marking on your marriage finger that shows you are joined. I have crafted a matching pair of rings in precious metal to cover them for now. Seo Jun cannot reveal he is joined yet. You my dear when around any dragons must keep your mark hidden. Just as your family is linked so are dragon kind. If any of the dragon kind see your marking it can get back to Seo Jun's father. Thus placing both of you in danger. When most see you ring they will assume City is your mate. This is for your protection once the danger is over your mark will reveal its true form. Now I must take my leave for now. Do not worry one of your family along with City will always be with you. For now enjoy your marriage night at a secret location that I have chosen for you. A place that you will not be disturb for the next two days. " father hugs Jasmine close before he shimmers away holding Inari's hand. In Jasmine's hand is a small key. Holding it up she hears fathers voice.
"When you are ready just place the key in your bedroom door . Once inside you will be where you are supposed to be. " The father whispers. The rest of the family rush to circle the couple giving hugs and we'll wishes.
"Now I don't know about you two but I'm starving . Why don't we have the wedding feast then you two can begin your honeymoon." Lilli links her arms through Jasmine's as they walk towards the bridal table . There are an array of dishes , some are Jasmine's favorites. Some City made as they are traditional dragon wedding foods. There is a braised pork dish with a chili sauce, along with a thick cream seafood soup. Everyone gets seated to eat. The garden is filled with laughter and dancing as the sun begins to set. Luxe pulls Jasmine and Seo Jun aside before they leave.
"Seo Jun , I'm sorry for earlier. I let something that happened a long time ago effect my behavior." Luxe bows her head in apology.
Jasmine hugs her sister tears filling her eyes.
"I understand now the intense feeling you get when Chloe's memories surface . When I changed I saw the other half of my soul's life. Her name was Sari. She was killed as a young fox by the one dad vanquished. The one that sent him into a coma. Sari was Dad's twin and when dad was taken she was left to die. I believe since she was so young when she died is why until now I never had gifts. I still may not have any but it is going to be an adventure to find out. Don't ever apologize for something you cannot control. What happened in Chloe's life and her feelings you can't change. So I don't think you need to feel sorry." Jasmine looks at her new husband her eyes pleading with him to agree. Seo Jun had forgotten about what happened earlier.
"Truthfully my mind was so filled with your sister that I had not even noticed any slight. Jasmine is right when she says not to be sorry. If you like I can tell you about the Chloe I remember. " Seo Jun tells Luxe.
"I would like that, it would be nice to have someone else view of her." Luxe smiles at her new brother in law.
"Come let me show you." Seo Jun takes Luxe by one hand and Jasmine by the other. Sitting in the center of the garden Seo Jun takes them into a trance where he opens his mind for them . They see things through Seo Jun's eyes and feelings. It's before his sister passes. Chloe is sitting next to Seo Shin. They are playing a game with Seo Jun's sister watching over them.
"When I grow up I want to marry Jun , he is perfect." Chloe tells Seo Shin.
"That is not possible, Seo Jun must marry his soul mate and you are not his mate. If you were even at such a young and annoying age he would know his pearl would glow. See like mine is glowing now. It is because my dragon heart changes it's beat when you are near. I am your mate and he will be just an older brother. So since you are to be my mate when we grow up you need to listen to me always." Seo shin haughtily tells Chloe. Chloe not liking his tone blinks her eyes and sends a glass of water over his head.
"I do as I please, no man or dragon will control me." Chloe jumps up turns to see Seo Jun. he is smiling at her and opens his arms. Giggling Chloe races into arms giving him a tight squeeze .
"Seo Jun will you love me always?" Chloe asks him .
" I will always love you as my littlest sister. " Seo Jun replies as he carries Chloe back to Seo Shin's side.
"Now Chloe see how Shin's pearl glows green when your near. It's because he loves you. Saying you want to marry me made him jealous and upset. That is why he said those things. Even if you cannot marry me we will still be family. I will always be your big brother." Seo Jun ruffles Chloe's hair before going to sit next to his sister. Seo Shin hugs Chloe tightly not letting her move from his side. Seo Jun knows that after this memory is when Chloe began to fear all dragons. So he stops here leaving other memories for another day.
"I know you are your own person , that only Chloe's emotions and memories surface at times. I also know that you could have had them erased but chose not to. Thank you for allowing that precious girl of my memories not be forgotten." Seo Jun without thinking hugs Luxe letting her feel a big brothers love for the child lost. Jasmine watches the two her heart filling with an even deeper love for her new husband. Allowing his compassion and caring show ."
