Fire bow

"ROARRRR!!!!" The bear screamed like a mad animal as he rushed towards the smoke

Brian followed him at a slight distance while riding the panther.

*whimper*

As soon as the bear reached the smoke, he saw nobody nearby and was confused about what to do.

It was really a sight to behold as the giant bear looked directly towards Brian who was hiding in the bushes with his ferocious eyes now turned into puppy eyes.

I mean, at least he tried.

Brian helplessly commanded the bear to once again act like an angry animal and start destroying everything in sight.

This command was given because Brian felt that any intelligent Creature would hide in the trees if it saw a mad animal rushing towards itself.

Brian also commanded the panther to go to a different hiding spot as that was already exposed by the bear.

*swoosh*

An arrow came from the nearby tree and directly hit the bear in front of his front shoulder.

Brian raised his eyebrows as if watching something interesting. He was shocked as if the bear was alive then its vital spot would've been there but unfortunately it was just a familiar.

Brian wouldn't have let the bear kill the Creature anyway and this simply gave him an opportunity to see the Creature who shot the arrow.

He instantly commanded the bear to act dead and prepared his own bow to attack the Creature.

*Thud*

The hiding Creature waited for quite a few minutes before getting out of his hiding spot. He was half sure that the animal just fainted as he hadn't got the message of getting Creation Points yet.

The Creature came down from the tree and surprisingly it was a human and not some other creature.

As he prepared to give the final blow to the bear, Brian shot his arrow.

"Thwoosh"

It directly hit the man in his thigh.

"Arghhhhh!!!" The man screamed loudly.

This gave Brian a feeling that the man wasn't some professional but just someone with good thinking and 'help'.

Emotionlessly, he shot an arrow once again towards the wailing man's opposite arm.

"AAAHHHHHHH!" The wailings increased by one notch.

The wailing man had lost all respect in Brian's eyes and looked like a kid crying for his mama to him. This directly made him change the plan of making him a subordinate to a sacrifice for a new 'help', But only after interrogation.

Brian had lost interest in him but was still mindful of his 'help'. He weighed the possibilities and came out of his hiding spot.

"Hey hey hey, if you had enough of your cries can we start the discussions?" Brian chose the way of acting like a calm and composed person while giving an aura that everything is in his control.

He felt that that look would be able to give the kid the hope of survival as well as fear for him.

"w-Who are you? Don't come near me. I-I have…" The short-haired kid fumbled in his words.

"Oh! I am interested now. What do you have? Golden finger? Or some kind of peerless artifact?" Brian showed a look of curiosity on his face

"I have an artifact which the esteemed sir might like. I will give it to you if you let me go or else I will destroy it." The short-haired kid showed a proud and cheeky smile on his face as if he had figured it out.

"Well we will decide on that later, for now, I want all the information you have about the Creatures you encountered in all your days of living here or else you can directly leave the hope for survival" Brian coldly smirked

"Uhh-uhh…"

"The clock is ticking my friend, spill the beans" Brian reminded with an extremely calm smile.

"I started off around a few 10s of kilometres away from here but while exploring and killing animals for Creation Points, I came across a minotaur like animal. At first I was horrified at finding creatures but then started following him to hunt him and ended up here. It was a fairly young one as its horns were not pointed but round and …"

Brian didn't interrupt him and let the kid blabber out every piece and bit of information he has gathered. Although most of the part was the kid describing how he killed animals and followed the minotaur.

"…Phew, I told all the information I knew about the existence of various creatures in this world so can you now let me g…?"

*slash*

The kid's words were only met by a sneaky dagger directly plunging into his neck. While dying, the kid himself didn't know how and why he died.

*sigh*

Brian thought a bit and was just about to let the kid free after becoming his subordinate as the kid had made his search narrow down. The kid had found a goblin group just around the area where he had killed the scout who were probably investigating the same case.

But, one thought suddenly struck him that if he wanted the Gods to notice him then he must be able to do everything alone and not take the help of everyone. Although subduing people was a much more rational decision but Brian trusted his gut feeling and decided that he would not take the help of his parents unless necessary.

Brian hurriedly opened his |Personal Information| to check out the new 'help' he had borrowed from this kid.

{There are no skills involved in this 'help'}

[Note- Due to current circumstances, the current 'help' owner can only Sign-in ONCE]

Brian's eyes widened even though he was prepared for it. He never expected the kid to have the Sign-in system. If the short-haired kid had told him about it then maybe Brian would've agreed to let him live as a slave.

Brian shook his head dejectedly at the loss of a useful subordinate.

He soon calmed himself and started thinking about the information that the kid had brought him. He knew the general location of the Goblin Tribe but he wasn't aware of their strength.

To progress with the attack, information was the most crucial part and Brian needed the Goblin scout skills for that. He was quite close to being able to get all the skills in the Goblin scout 'help' but with the sudden arrival of Sign-in system, he was slightly unsure about what to do.

If he chose the Goblin scout skills then he will be able to get the information on the Goblin Tribe but there was no guarantee to kill them all and if he chose to use all his Creation Points to Sign-in then he was not even sure of getting the first step but he also might get something super useful. In short, the first option was a short-term plan but the second one was totally a gamble.

Brian couldn't choose at the moment so he chose to take a look at the artifacts he got first and also the opening of storage and items inside it.

*swish*

As soon as Brian thought about the Bronze Grade Fire bow, it suddenly appeared in his hands.

When Brian thought of the Fire bow, he thought of a flaming bow with an imposing appearance as it was supposed to be the so-called artifact but unfortunately, he was led to disappointment. The bow looked everything but imposing, it looked no different from the basic wooden bow made by bending a random branch and attaching a string to it. The only difference was that it was orange in colour and the string was red in colour.

Brian didn't get his hopes down as he knew that appearance wasn't everything. He went forward to check out the strength of the bow.

According to the system, the bow had no arrows and they were supposed to get activated directly by one's energy.

Brian pulled the string and he felt something flow from his body into the bow. He staggered due to being unprepared but instantly controlled himself. After about 40 seconds, a pale brownish-orange arrow was formed by itself on the bow.

"fsh"

The arrow made almost no sound and went towards the target decided by Brian. The arrow was deviated by a large extent due to his poor archery and directly hit a tree in its trunk.

"boom"

There was an explosion sound as the tree started burning. It was a strange site as the tree trunk was supposed to hold a lot of water content and wasn't supposed to burn down in the first place.

The weirdest thing was that, even after the tree got burned down, there was not even one single sign of fire on the nearby dry grass.

It was almost like the arrow would only burn the object which it touched and won't do any harm to the one nearby.

Brian had a slight smile on his face as he would be able to fight the Goblin Tribe Head with this weapon.
