Chapter 4

Eos P.O.V. :

Colt immediately leaps in the air. With a quick movement, he takes out two of his feathers and uses them as darts, their target being Ray. But Ray being agile he avoids them smoothly also because of him predicting where Colt will aim since he had already read his mind.

For the first few minutes the fight continues like this with Colt attacking and Ray defending. One can see that Colt is using to much of his energy and is getting a little tired. He also seem to realise that himself, as he lands on his feet and continues the battle with hand-to-hand combat. But still it all goes in vain as he can't breach Ray's ability.

Haha he has to figure what to do with that ability of Ray's before even attacking him. Still not going to lie, that mind reading power of his is really troublesome and hard to get past by.

Colt loosens up a little knowing even hand-to-hand combat won't work as long as he has got that mind reading ability on. Backing off a little he tries to figure something out about Ray.

For a little while both of them stand back and just observe each other. Ray trying to concentrate on his surroundings, still maintaining full focus on Colt. Meanwhile Colt circles around the corner while floating a bit with the help if his wings. 15 minutes are completed and now 15 are remaining.

Something seems to have clicked in Colt's mind. Smirking, he leaps in the air and closes his eyes. We all waiting for his next move. Taking out quite a lot of he feathers, he shoots them at Ray.

But unlike last time one of those actually gazes Ray. A drop of blood drips from his wound on the cheek which he got from the feather he narrowly missed.

"*Huff**Huff* that was a nice one." Ray complements while turning off his ability. His eyes turning back to cerulean. Colt too takes his wings back and lands down, some feathers pinned lying on the ground.

Colt charges towards Ray and tries to punch him in the stomach. Ray blocks it and kicks Colt straight in the jaw. Ouch that's got to hurt. Within a second Colt steps back and hooking his left feet with Ray's right one he attempts to make him fall. Quickly reacting to it Ray grabs Colt's neck and makes him fall too.

I can see Ray slowly gaining the upper hand as Colt's movements are unplanned and leaves a lot of openings. Well one has to attack randomly without thinking while fighting Ray, because if you wait to think it first, it would be predicted. This also explains how Ray got scratched by the feather, as they were aimed randomly.

After a while Ray finally gets Colt in a headlock. Looking straight into his eyes, he commands,"Sleep". Haha fun fact, not only Ray can read mind, but with enough concentration he can also glve them few commands.

Upon hearing it, Colt's body immediately relaxes and his eyes rolls back. All the feathers lying on the ground also disappears. With this the referee signals the end of the first match and declaring Ray as the victor.

Now the next one is Ace and Kyle.

Both are called on the field. "Start" signals the beginning of this fight.

Both of them charge at each other trying to knock the other out. Ace summons two of his card. A light blue aura envelopes him. Kyle tries to attack Ace before his summons but that fails as Ace quickly dodges it. The blue aura now being gone signs that Ace now has an ability. One of them has affected Ace as we can see that his ears are pointed and small scales have appeared on his neck.

Ace's fist manages to hit Kyle square in the face making him stumble. As he recovers he starts aiming another blow at Ace who dodges quickly.

Kyle teleports behind Ace and freezes Ace from the back, but Kyle doesn't just stop at that, using more of his power he teleports back in from and freezes Ace again. Klye steps back, he too knowing that this won't be enough to defeat Ace. He prepares himself for the next attack. He builds up few walls of ice for a little bit of protection.

Soon the ice around Ace starts cracking. Within a few seconds all the ice around him melts. The water of the ice starts collection over Ace's hands. Ah I see he choose water manipulation. Suddenly a big wave of water comes crashing down onto the arena. It knocks Kyle flying away, though it also seems to have taken a till on Ace too.

Both of them now standing in the corner again. Klye no longer having the energy to fight any longer, he surrender.

"The winner of the second fight is Ace Akabane !" referee announces. The crowd erupts in cheers.

"Due to the arena damage the next fight will be postponed for a while." an announcement is made.

"You really didn't had to destroy the whole place you know. Still congrats." I say to Ace.

"Yeah that really was a good one" said Ace while helping Kyle stand up. Further on he summons a card and heals them both.

For the little bit of free time that we've got, we head towards the garden. It's a special garden where one can even enhance his ability using the surroundings. Ace and Kyle take this time to regain their energy, while the others play with their ability.

About 20 minutes later we are called back. Now time for the next battle - Leon vs Crystal.
