Thinking Beyond

"AHHHH!" Angela shouted as both she and Jonathan were shot off into the distance by the fast-moving floor. Both of them were still on the ground unable to get up due to the pure speed of the floor which seemed to scare Angela a lot but as for Jonathan he had a wide smile on his face enjoying the amazing ride.

"WOOHOOOO! YEAHHHH!" Jonathan shouted in excitement as he sped across the floor. It was an experience he had never felt before or at least according to the memories he currently had.

The two of them continued on this raging path for a few minutes until finally in the distance there seemed to be an end in sight, "Look over there!" Jonathan shouted over the loud whirring sound of the floor.

When Angela heard Jonathan's voice she quickly turned her head in the direction he was pointing at and was surprised to see a small little square in the distance marking the end of their journey. This caused a smile on her face finally knowing that the end was in sight but when she realized how fast she was going and how small the square was, she began to panic.

"WE'RE GOING TO CRASH!" Angela said in a panic as she tried to stand up failing miserably in the process.

Jonathan on the other hand wasn't worried about how fast they were going since in his mind he knew that there was no reason to needlessly kill them. He may have thought differently if he knew Right Eye.

The ending square was fast approaching but Jonathan was still relaxed sitting on the moving floor enjoying his rest while Angela was in full panic mode trying to find a safer way off of the fast-moving floor but there was no way off.

Eventually they did make it to the end of the moving floor and while Angela braced for impact Jonathan just sat up looking at the oncoming square with interest. Right as they reached the end of the moving floor they were moving at such a speed that they were launched into the air going straight toward the wall.

Angela closed her eyes refusing to look at her doom while Jonathan was still casually watching with interest. The two flew at such a speed and height that if it had been a normal wall they would have broken many bones resulting in a huge disadvantage going forward in the games.

However, when the both of them collided against the wall they were both pleasantly surprised to feel that the wall was actually soft! The wall was so soft that Jonathan didn't even feel any pain when he hit the wall but he didn't have time to think that long since they were so high in the air. This meant they also had to come down.

"AHHH!" Angela screamed again as she and Jonathan fell from a few feet high in the air. This time Jonathan was less certain that there would be a safety net below so he quickly turned his body sideways grabbing Angela and placing her upward in his arms that way he would take the brunt of the fall.

THUD!

"Ouch." Jonathan said as he smacked the ground with the added weight on top of him. It wasn't the most pleasant feeling ever but it wasn't anything crazy. Angela had a tired look on her face as she rolled off of Jonathan and lay on her back as well beside him breathing heavily.

"That....was.....terrible." Angela said taking a moment with each word that she breathed out. It seems like that entire ride had taken a lot out of her and she was still left stunned. Jonathan could say the same but he wasn't stunned in a bad way, he had a lot of fun.

When Jonathan heard Angela's frustrations it made him smile and gave him enough energy to finally sit up. There was a small stinging sensation in his back but besides that everything seemed to be completely fine.

Now that Jonathan was up and actually looking around he finally saw something that neither he nor Angela could see from the moving floor, "There's the finish!" Jonathan said with excitement pointing to the right side of the square.

Angela quickly got up at the words finish and when she turned there it was. The finish line was a simple line painted on the ground that had the words finish line on it but Jonathan and Angela weren't worried about the details, they only wanted to be done with the game.

Jonathan was first to rush forward wanting to finally have the freedom of being done but right as he was going to pass the finish line he stopped and looked toward Angela, "You should cross first." Jonathan suddenly.

Angela was left with a confused expression on her face since she had no idea why Jonathan wanted her to go first. Simple courtesy wasn't really necessary in a game like this so the only thing that he could have were ulterior motives but before she could start brainstorming any further Jonathan elaborated on his thoughts.

"If you were thinking that there's another reason for you to go first then you're right, think about it. After the first game I was given access to the cabin and had to pick people to have access to it as well. Who do you think The Watcher is choosing to have access now? The people that are running it normally?" Jonathan said posing a question for Angela to begin thinking deeply.

After thinking for a few seconds she finally came to her conclusion, "They would give it to the first person to cross the cheating path." She finally said getting a nod from Jonathan who thought the exact same thing.

"Exactly and what do you think will be the reaction of people if I were to get access to the cabin a second time?" Jonathan said posing another question.

Angela didn't take long to answer this time and once she realized the answer she finally understood why Jonathan stopped and didn't cross the finish line, "Anger and Jealousy." She said with nervousness in her voice.
