Extra Food

The blue force field had stopped the bulls march toward the group which stunned many people. When everyone saw what happened they instantly stopped fighting each other and just stood there in shock. While the bulls may be on the other side and they couldn't reach those behind the finish line the people that had been thrown toward the bulls had no signs of life.

All of them had been either trampled to death or stabbed by the sharpness of one of the horns. When Jonathan saw the gruesome sight he couldn't look at it so he looked away and took a glance at the number still in the sky showing how many participants were left.

The number was now drastically lowered compared to when Jonathan had arrived with Derek and the older man. The number in the sky now read 62 which meant 20 people had just been thrown to their death for absolutely no reason other than the panic of other people.

Some of the people that had thrown a person to their doom began breaking down instantly realizing the grave mistake they had just made. Some people just had blank faces as they stared at the dead bodies of those that they pushed. Among all of these, there was one person who couldn't take what they did so they stepped past the line straight into the bull and baboon territory. It seems that at this point the baboons were allowed to go off the roof so once the guy passed through the force field he was attacked by the baboons killing him, instantly making the number 62 change to 61.

Jonathan was shocked at the man basically killing himself but when he looked toward the person that the guy threw toward the bulls Jonathan was left in shock. The person that the man had thrown was the same guy Jonathan had just carried for over 5 minutes on his back. The 40-something-year-old man had been thrown straight into the horn of one of the bulls impaling him straight in the head killing him.

The sight almost made Jonathan puke while Derek and Kylie just looked away not wanting to stare at the gruesome scene any longer. This experience was an eye-opener for everyone including Angela who would be most affected by this experience. She had watched it all from start to finish while having a blank look on her face. This was not something she had ever expected or even thought of happening. Jonathan didn't think people were crazy enough to do such a thing but it seems he was wrong.

While everyone sat in silence the screen of The Watcher suddenly appeared on the force field.

"Hello everyone and congratulations on passing the second game! This one was much more enjoyable than the other one considering you guys definitely made a little mess down here but that's a part of the game. Now that you have all finished it's time to announce the winner of the cabin! Today's winner is dunununununununun." The Watcher spoke joyously as if this was the most fun thing in the world for them even making their own drum sound while everyone else just had a dead expression as they still took time to process what had just happened.

When The Watcher saw their expressions and saw that the group weren't going to play the game The Watcher frowned under their mask, "You guys are no fun. Well if you want to be like that then I will just tell you. Angela has gained access to the cabin until the next game. When the door opens your food will be waiting, see you later!" The Watcher said before disappearing once again.

Most people still didn't have a reaction to what The Watcher said besides a few that recognized Angela's name and looked toward her wondering how in the world she was the one who gained ownership of the cabin until the next game.

After The Watcher had finished talking and left, the wall that everyone had been trying to get to began opening upward like the garage door that Jonathan and Angela went through earlier in the challenge. Since this was the first time for many seeing a door move like that it brought them out of their depressing moment. Once the door fully went up and opened what everyone saw behind it made them shocked.

It was the resting room! The same exact resting room that should have been a long run away was now right in front of them. The only difference was that instead of empty plates being on the table they were now full of delicious-looking food that had the aroma spread all the way over to the entrance.

Everyone walked inside the resting room once more and once every person was inside of it the door that had previously opened came back down and closed making the room closed off once more. Jonathan watched in fascination as it happened, wondering if he could see some sort of hint on how the door worked but nothing gave him any indication even after it closed so he left it alone.

"That was awful." Kylie suddenly said beside Jonathan as they began making their way toward the table full of food.

"I agree, that's one of the worst things I've ever seen." Derek said in agreement as he joined them in walking.

Jonathan just nodded his agreement in silence which was also done by Angela. There was a lot that just happened and they all needed a moment to process it and the best way to feel better to them at that moment was to get some food and drink in their bodies.

Running not only made them tired but also depleted them of any type of nutrients they had beforehand. Each of them walked over to the table but they were surprised to see that despite there being many deaths in the game, the amount of food on the table was still the exact same.

"How does this work?" Jonathan said out loud.
