When Jonathan walked through the door and entered the next room it was once again dark inside the room which meant he was waiting on something or at least that's what Jonathan gathered so far.
Jonathan then sat down on the cold concrete floor and began waiting for The Watcher to turn on the lights or bring him to the next room to find the others. He thought he was waiting on them to finish with their individual game and that everyone couldn't talk again until each person was finished.
He was both right and wrong at the same time.
After Jonathan waited for a while the lights suddenly came on temporarily blinding him and causing him to close his eyes tightly. After a few seconds of waiting, Jonathan began squinting his eyes so that he could open them and see the light once more.
When he finally got a view of the room he was quite confused. The room he was in was a square box similar to the previous room but the only difference was there were no animals or anything of the sort.
On the right side of the room there were two buttons one on the left saying kill and then one on the right saying save. Before Jonathan could even ask what was going on a screen appeared on the wall in between the buttons.
"Welcome contestants to the second part of this game. Surprised? Well, I'm sure most of you are considering how we have operated the games so far. However, since this is a finale of sorts we have extended the length of the game a little bit to test you to the best of our ability. In a few moments there will be a window connecting you to another contestant. You can speak with them for a few minutes and decide how you're going to play this." The Watcher said referencing the wall in front of Jonathan that was still blank but if he looked closely he could see slits that outlined the windows.
"The ways to play are simple. If you and the person on the other side both press save then both of you will pass and move forward in the games. However, if both of you press kill then both of you will be killed. On the off chance one of you presses kill and the other presses save then only the one that pressed save will be killed while the one that pressed kill will make it to the next round." The Watcher explained to Jonathan.
"How long do we get?" Jonathan asked The Watcher wanting to get an idea of how fast he should be getting to know the person before deciding on his option.
"That's all for now goodbye." The Watcher said before the screen went blank. What replaced the video of The Watcher was a 10-minute timer that began counting down the second it appeared.
'What a douche.' Jonathan thought once The Watcher didn't answer his question but little did he know that the entire conversation was pre-recorded beforehand and was being played in each room that had a game going on just like Jonathan's.
After the timer went down 20 seconds and Jonathan was prepared a portion of the wall began going downward similar to a projector screen revealing a see-through glass pane that showed a person Jonathan had never talked to before.
"Hello?" Jonathan said out loud trying to see if the person could hear him. They were turned around facing another direction when Jonathan called them so he couldn't really get a good look.
When Jonathan called out to them they seemed to flinch momentarily before turning around. When Kanzaki got a good look at them he couldn't help but grit his teeth in anger, 'One of them.' Jonathan thought with anger radiating off of him.
The person that had ended up across from him was one of two companions of John that were still alive. It was the shorter more chubby guy that had been punched by Derek first. He was lucky enough to be knocked out and out of sight by the time everything went down keeping him out of Jonathan's wrath.
However, Jonathan made sure to remember every one of their faces and this was one of them. Just because they hadn't made it in the cabin with John didn't mean that they didn't plan to join and do something just as horrible.
"J-j-jonathan. I-it's nice to see you again." The guy said with sweat appearing on his face the second that he realized that the person across from him was Jonathan.
When Jonathan saw the man he was hesitant to hit the kill button immediately but he held back his urges and talked to the man with respect to the best of his ability, "Hey good to see you too. That last game was pretty crazy right?" Jonathan said trying to make light conversation so the mood changed.
At the moment it was a very intense mood with both of them kind of being on edge so Jonathan wanted to make the other guy more comfortable so he also knew what he was choosing.
"Yeah. I waited until there was only 1 minute left and chose the goat to kill since I feel that they're very annoying." The guy said catching Jonathan completely off guard.
"You chose the goat?! I chose the pig and still passed." Jonathan said in confusion wondering if the guy was lying or not but when Jonathan saw his reaction as well he knew that neither of them were lying.
"You chose the pig? That can't be right. Then how did I make it to the next round?" He asked in confusion as both of them began thinking of the solution to the last game.
"Maybe they were all the right answer?" Jonathan suddenly said letting a light bulb go off in both of their heads as they realized the true nature of the last game.
