You wake up on a cold hard floor with no knowledge of where you are and what your name is. A person tells you that if you want to learn more you must survive and play their games. Would you do anything to win and make it farther or would you try and fight back against those that hold you? Watch as J makes his way through these games with everything on the line. Midnight Games

As Messiah was talking about Jonathan stating that he was looking for him many people became afraid that if they didn't give him over to Messiah then they would be the next ones shot down.

Jonathan knew this and immediately motioned for his group to begin making their way even further back than they were before with Jonathan keeping his head low in case someone's eyes came across him.

This game did not require a certain amount of people to die so if they were able to evade Messiah for a set amount of time then they would be free to leave and no one could do anything about it.

From what Jonathan understood he had done nothing to Messiah the entire time they had been in the games but they were fated to be enemies in the end whether Jonathan like it or not.
