Chapter 0: The Beginning After The End

* No men are born equal.

Some are born talented, some are born silver-spooned, and some are born with nothing. Everyone has their own "thing" that nobody can recreate, no matter what they try. That is why every person is special in their own way. But society doesn't care about that. In the spotlight stand only those that are most talented, rich, or beautiful. The unlucky few who are born with below-average statistics are called losers or outsiders and are left out from the others. Isn't there more in the nature of humans, something deep inside them that can't be explained - their soul? Why do we only care about appearance?

Reality is cruel. Reality is simply depressing and boring. Reality is unfair.

Many people live a monotonous life waiting for their time to come and leave the world, without fighting for what's right. Thanks to the creation of The Cities humanity is safe from the outside world, but at what cost? Nothing is happening in here, nothing! Everything is just gray, everyone is just plain! I want to go on an adventure, I want to explore, I want to see and feel, I want to be alive! *

That is what the main protagonist of this story thought before faith turned his world upside down. This story is about Arthur Ashford, a 14-year-old who embarks on the path of finding the truth behind this new world, and his friends who support him till the end through his adventures on the dangerous planet that their long-forgotten ancestors called Earth.

After the cataclysm and almost all of humanity is wiped out, Earth no longer looks the same. Suddenly new creatures and new wildlife appear and what people thought as normal suddenly had no meaning. Faced with new challenges humanity fastly develops and no long after it becomes more advanced than what it was in the past. The Cities - the bastions of humanity. The only place where people live and are safe.

Why did this cataclysm happen and from where did these monsters come? Why did the world change so rapidly? Why are people caged in these Cities? Why can't they leave them?

To these questions, only the story can answer.
