Carelessness

"They still haven't made up?" asked Marc to Julien

Julien seemed busy reading a thick book on his lap.

That afternoon, after the scorching sun slowly dimmed, Julien deliberately invited Marc to talk in the backyard directly opposite a lake connected to the Glass Stone River and Blue Brook River.

Instead of talking to the alpha like he said before, Julien was busy rereading the contents in history books, especially the Battle Of Blind Justice, a war that included Marc in it. People were staring blankly at the crystal clear water in front of them.

"Are they always like this?" asked Mark again.

Julien shook his head. Julien was engrossed in turning page after page of the history book in his hand, and he didn't even look back, let alone at the place where the alpha was.

"This is the first time they've fought," said Julien calmly. Too calm to explain the unfavourable situation between her older sister and her niece.
