Elemental Mastery

Rowan knew that he only had one chance, he stopped a galactic force of nature that was a black hole or this entire planet would be consumed by it. The issue was that while he had somehow created soul force before becoming a god he had run into a new issue which was that using this drop of soul force would probably cause irreparable damage to his mana space but at this point he had no choice no one was coming to save him.

"No input system, what if I die here, I thought I was the champion you chose?" [Indeed you are but we can not hold your hand, you must make it through this by your own merit, it was also you that acted without a full understanding of your strength and caused this situation.] Rowan also knew that if he asked the system for the answer, then by giving the system the exp required, the sum of those experiences would be received by his master. So Rowan shook his head and looked to the black hole. What technique could stop a black hole? He needed to somehow repair all the damaged space around them that had opened the path to this void.

His hands began to move as fast as they could as a cloud began to form while the drop of soul force floated next to him radiating such power that in his weakened state even he found it suffocating. He finally finished the storm and held it in his left hand as it pulsed with green and gold lights. He had to be careful when creating it, and had used the mana in the air to build the outline for it which meant that in the matter of the last ten seconds he absorbed and processed enough natural mana into his own to create a storm. He looked at the platinum dot and knew that he would have to take it in if this was going to work. He needed to make this coalesced drop into his.

Now the thing that Rowan truly failed to calculate was that soul force had exactly no business being on the second layer where he resided. In fact, it appearing here had already turned his master's eyes towards this layer, as he marveled at the drop and confirmed that somehow , a tier six being had somehow converted mana that wasn't his into a drop of soul force, something that should be impossible period had appeared on the second layer and anyone powerful enough noticed it. Several forces throughout the second layer were all alerted to this event and even some in the first had turned their attention there.

Rowan was oblivious to all of this though he would not have cared even if they did because all of his focus was consumed with his current actions and making sure nothing went wrong he lightly reached out with his hand and his storm armament faded away to see the appendage as he reached out and tapped the soul force with the tip of his finger. The mana absorbed through the hand and it felt like the sun traveled through his body as it moved towards his mana space and he used the energy from the drop to keep his body from combusting . The drop passed through the circle of his mana circle once and that's when things went wrong. The soul force swam in a circle around the cloud circle hundreds of times, leaving his mana space pulsing before the mana, still undaunted, shot down his other arm and into the storm in his hand. He quickly released the storm and stepped back, not knowing that the step would not matter at all.

The storm cloud burst and green and gold rain poured from the sky in a massive deluge that made it seem life an ocean of liquid was pouring down repeatedly, but the effect of it was instant. Yes, black holes were in fact dangerous, but this was only the second layer, and not a true black hole in the least. So, as Rowan's words echoed out, the change took place in the same instant. [Life Storm] The deluge covered the black hole, and it fizzled out like a campfire that had been peed on. Everywhere the storm passed, space was repaired and put back together like nothing ever happened. Trees grew from the ground and soon enough, they were in a massive forest of beautiful trees. The world healed in a matter of seconds and then it began to evolve. Organisms across the planet, like regular beasts, experienced the baptism of the soul force fueled life storm. Rowan felt his cultivation start to improve and hurriedly lowered himself to the ship.

Genma was the first to speak out before anyone else could. "I have lived for a rather long time but I have only heard about it but young monster, I mean man, did you just command the life element through a storm?" Rowan only nodded as he quickly explained so that Em would let down the barrier so they could all take advantage as well. Genma felt the rain hit his skin and felt even his cultivation move forward a bit at a time, and his look of wonder became one of pure exasperation. "Ya know what, you are in fact rather good at destroying things and while that's cool and all, I wasn't truly ready to place you above other tier zero assault classes, but this, this does. I don't just mean the storm itself or whatever ability you used that has your body changing because your self has evolved so much in the past tens of minutes that the system has said that looking at your status would cost me my entire cultivation."

While Genma absorbed some more of the water and took a deep breath before speaking again Rowan recalled that in fact he said it was levels because he could see the empyrean system but the levels were just a representation of someones cultivation so truly what a person gave his master in exchange for all the benefits of being able to ask the system any question it wanted was their cultivation. The experience and the mana. it made him happier to have not asked the system a new question. Not that his master probably could not forcibly take what he wanted from people truthfully. This way, it was somewhat fair. Knowledge for Knowledge and the mana was tax.

Genma pulled a book from somewhere and gently tapped on the pages before they floated open and he began to use his finger to write in the book as he spoke. "What I meant earlier was the fact that you, with an attunement that is clearly not life, just used so much life mana that an entire planet is undergoing evolution. I once found a journal that outlined that a person would not truly be able to come into the full abilities of their attunement without mastering a certain ability called elemental mastery, it's said to be something that only those in the realms of demigods can achieve." Rowan shook his head though, because while it wasn't that Genma was wrong, he just wasn't exactly right.

"Ya know old man you walk around in these dapper outfits and I can't help but think you are someones overdressed grandad but I also forget that you are a researcher of some sorts, or so at least that is what Feng told me." Genma grew red at the playful insult and cleared his throat in embarrassment as he fixed his suit and Rowan continued speaking. "Elemental mastery can be achieved anytime beyond rank 2. My master achieved it during rank one, but he was born with a creation attunement which is kinda a cheat for elemental mastery. I digress though. For elemental mastery, all that's needed is a deep understanding of one's attunement and the ability to sense mana outside of their attunement. A person then just uses their attunement to command the elements outside of it. So I guess the three components are attunement development, mana sense, and strong will since a person's will guides their mana."

Genma wrote every word down and they talked while the rain lightened and Rowan felt the familiar wave of pain incoming, the same feeling he had felt when he evolved but instead this time it was coming from his mana space whatever the soul force had done to him thanks to him coming into contact with soul force was finally taking place while at the same time Rowan had a epiphany. This was his chance. Whatever was about to happen was going to be the moment to break out of convention cultivation and be different from his master. He knew he had no choice but to grab hold of this moment with all that he could as he slowly began to fall, the pain so intense he could do nothing but fall.

As he fell, blood burst from his pores and covered him before hardening and forming a casing that wrapped around his body before then wrapping itself in mana. The whole scene caused different reactions but Camille explained to everyone what was happening before they could freak out and they all went off to different locations as the storm ended but Rowan on the other hand had been dragged to an isolated mental space to have a conversation with the system and a choice to make.
