Chapter 5: Evankhell's floor

(A/n: warning: don't eat this while you are reading)

"He will be able to take on a High ranker's punch in just..."

"A year"

Enryu then smiled at what he said. The problem that his son suffered for hundreds of years became a tremendous power for him.

He then grabbed a framed picture of Kai that is on his table and looked at it.

"This power will definitely slow down once his body reached a high ranker's league. But reaching that league in only one year even if it's only his body's defensive ability, is already a tremendous feat." He said as he touched the picture lightly.

"And with his talent, it will only take a few years before he also acquire a full high ranker's strength. And at that time..."

"Only those people who have strength equal or stronger than the leaders of the 10 families will be able to damage him"

[Evankhell's floor]

Kai woke up on a rice field as he stood up and looked around. He can see some humans and some weird looking creatures some distance away from him. Kai can tell that they are all sizing up one another and all of them are ready to fight.

He then sensed something as he looks up and saw a yellow cube floating in the air.

'...So this is the second test area? Wait. No. I heard Headon saying that he is someone who tests people who wants to climb the tower so the floor where I came from is probably like some kind of tutorial floor or something.' thought Kai.

He normally hates thinking critically but it kind of became his passive ability whenever he faces things that is new to him. This ability is what made him able to survive by himself in his previous world. And it will continue in this tower if he never found allies.

For Kai, allies are something that he doesn't need but always has been something that he wants. He doesn't know why but he doesn't want to waste time trying to know the reason either.

Wind passed by as he inhaled and exhaled the air deeply. The wind caused the field to sway as it created a sound that Kai found soothing. However, as the sound soothed Kai, the smell carried by the wind brought something different.

'The smell of blood is in the air...' he said as his crazy meter started to rise a little.

After a few minutes of everyone, including

Kai, sizing up one another, a girl's voice is heard from the cube that is floating in the air.

"Ahem! Mike~ testo, mike~ testo. One, two three!"

"Hello everyone! 'Regular members' who have entered the tower!! This is the 2nd floor, and I sincerely welcome you to Evankhell's floor!!"

Kai then comically face palmed as he heard this.

'It's the second floor afterall...I thought it will be the official 1st floor or something' thought Kai.

"This Evankhell's floor is also called the 'floor of test'! The reason is because this is the level where you are deemed worthy of climbing this tower!"

"Minore details aside, shall we begin with a simple test first? You might as well get a good warm up exercise!"

"The first test is very simple! I will begin announcing the rules so listen carefully!"

"The number of regular members in this floors totals to 400! All you have to do is make that 400 go down to 200!"

"What's the method~? By any means!!"

"The moment the number of regulars go down to 200, this test will end!"

"So everyone, do your best!!!" The voice then stopped as the test has officially begun.

Hearing this, Kai grinned as he gripped the black march.

"Simple and straight forward test!! I like it!" He said before looking at black march in his hand.

"You ready, girl?"

"Yeah, yeah. Go for it. Don't expect me to ignite for something trivial though" said the black march.

"Heh, of course. I will throw you away if you use that power while I'm fighting." Said Kai before he started running towards some tall humanoid that is holding a sword.

'This boy and Yuri...has some annoying similarities...' thought the black march as she gave up talking to her crazy current wielder.

The tall humanoid noticed Kai running towards him as he readied his sword.

"You dare to come at me, you puny bastard...do I...look weak to you!?!?" He then swung his sword downwards as he tried to cut Kai in half.

Kai just grinned more before he darted so fast that he managed to pierce and destroy half the creature's stomach before its sword even managed to be swung.

"Yup, you look very weak." Said Kai not even looking at his back where his opponent with destroyed stomach was. His face and black march has some blood splattered on it.

The creature was shocked as he slowly looked at his stomach that is destroyed.

He then tried to look back as he looked at Kai with tears in his eyes.

"You...you...I was...supposed to...be..."

Kai then turned around and looked at him as if he was looking on something insignificant.

"Tall dude. Be grateful that your insignificant life atleast became my 69th kill. You would've been so much more insignificant than you already were if you were to die in a number that has no meaning whatsoever." Said Kai smiling.

Him smiling while some blood are on his face made him look like a psychotic murderer.

The tall alien's body finally reacted as its knees started to gave up.

But before it fell down. Kai grabbed its long hair as he made it face him.

"Hey, don't die while I'm talking. That's disrespectful, you know." Said Kai ironically.

He then grinned.

"69...it's one of my favourite sex position so be grateful, alright?"

He then lets go of its hair before it falls down with no life.

"Ah ha~. Man, I think I was a little disrespectful there." Said Kai as he wiped off his face with his sleeve.

"Little? You literally killed that guy in so many levels." Said the Black march.

"Well, I was in a mood to be a disrespectful mother f*cker so I didn't manage to stop myself from killing that dude physically and emotionally." shrugged Kai.

"Dodge."

"Okay."

Kai just did as he was told and ducked as an arrow was shot at the direction where his head was located before.

More arrows was shot at him as he dodged them with ease now that he is aware that someone is targeting him.

He then looked towards the direction where the arrows was shot from before he holds the black march in a javelin throwing position.

"Can you go back to my hand automatically after I throw you like thor's hammer?" Said Kai narrowing his eyes to spot the archer.

"You would not..." Said black march with disbelieving tone.

She's a 13 month series for f*ck's sake!! Can't he treat her better?!?

"Oh I would, alright." Said Kai who already spotted the archer.

"Tsk...Yes, I can. But I would not come back to you if you throw me." Said the black march hmphing.

Hearing this, Kai thought a little before nodding.

"Alright. I understand. I'll just think of another way then." Said Kai as he started running towards the archer. The distance between them was atleast 700 meters.

'Good thing that he can be reasonable...' thought the black march. Happy that she was not used as a javelin.

As Kai is running, arrows upon arrows was shot towards him as he dodges them. When some arrows are headed towards where he dodged, he just deflects them using black march.

Meanwhile in a huge boulder, the girl archer who was targeting Kai saw him getting dangerously close. He was running so fast that the 700 meters between them was travelled in mere 30 seconds even while dodging her arrows.

Seeing this, the girl panicked as she shot one last time and ran away from him.

This, of course is futile as Kai immediately caught up to her.

Seeing him jump 10 meters in the air and about to land with his needle towards her, she decides to just fight him head on as she grabs a knife from her pocket and readied to block his attack.

Seeing that she decided to fight instead of running away, Kai grinned.

"That's the spirit! Come on, girl!!" He said as he got on a piercing stance with his right arm and aim it on the girl.

The girl tried to block it horizontally but her knife broke into pieces. Seeing this, Kai was about to drive the needle directly to her head when he thought of something.

'Hmm...I could try that move...' after thinking about it for a millisecond, he decided to do it as he twisted his body to the right.

When the girl managed to see his face up close, she uttered a single word.

"Handsome..."

Hearing this, Kai looked at her before smiling and saying...

"Thank you for the compliment, dead girl"

He then managed to spin his body once as he decapitated the girl before he landed.

The girl's head spinned and flew into the air before it landed to the ground just after Kai landed. The girl's body fell and lied on the ground as her blood painted the ground a beautiful red color.

Seeing his 'artwork', Kai nodded with admiration to his self.

"I've always wanted to do that move..." Said Kai as he swung the black march a little to remove the blood on it.

"Not even a little mercy for girls?" Asked the black march.

"Equal rights, equal fights."

"And besides, this is a test of life and death. Only a naive idiot will give-"

*Bang!!*

"Kai!!" (A/n: Laugh.)

"-mercy..."

Before he can finish his sentence, a bullet struck his chest. The black march did not manage to warn him fast enough because of its speed.

The black march and Kai expected the bullet to pierce through his heart but what happened shocked them...

"What the..."

The bullet just left a red bullet mark to his chest.

Kai just looked at it dumbfoundedly before asking...

"When did I become a tank?" (As in a tank like character in games)

Hearing this, the black march's spirit had veins pop out on her forehead as she shivered from anger before shouting...

"Shut up for a second and hide behind the boulder!!" Shouted the black march with irritation in her voice. The block head just won't stop asking and noticing unnecessary things even infront of danger.

"No, no, no. Lady. Look, the bullet didn't even pierce me-"

*Bang!!*

The next bullet went to his head. And like before, it just left a red mark on his skin.

Kai was dumfounded again.

"Wow...I'm iron skinned now...and I'm also full of red color...should I call my self iron ma-"

*Bang!!!*

A bullet to his eyes was fired next. But unlike before, it didn't even reached him as a red barrier surrounded him before vanishing quickly.

Kai looked at the red barrier that is vanishing with not a single thought in his head before saying...

"...I think...some things are going on in my body without me knowing..."

Said Kai as he just looked at the sniper that is about 2 kilometers away from him.

Meanwhile, the black march just slept. Giving up on thinking anymore before she even got infected by this crazy idiot.

Kai then narrowed his eyes and saw that the sniper was reloading.

"Hmm...that's quite the distance...I don't want to waste my time just to punch some weakling who only relies on his gun..."

"Use shinsu" said the black march while still lying with her eyes closed inside the needle.

"Shinsu?" Asked Kai with question marks floating on his head.

"Just think of it as some kind of power that can do everything. You are an irregular so as long as you have the talent for it, you can do it without the administrator's permission."

"Well, if you can't do it, then just look for another opponent. That sniper wouldn't waste all of his bullets to a guy that is not affected by it."

Kai thought about it before coming in to conclusion that it's just like magic. He then imagined of creating an energy ball on his hand.

"...What the fuck." The black march couldn't help but cuss as she saw what Kai have done.

"Is this it?" Said Kai looking at the red orb made of energy that is floating in his hand.

"That's...a bang. I only told you about it because I have the feeling that you can do it..." (A/n: baang/room = bang (because it's easier to remember))

"But it turns out that I can really do it?" Asked Kai while tilting his head.

"Yeah...you just self learned how to create a bang...Think of bang as some kind of gun that can release shinsu."

"Self learned...I just thought of creating an energy ball though..." Said Kai as he aimed at the sniper.

"Alright, let's try it." He then put his hand forward as the bang floated infront of him before releasing a red energy that travelled at the speed of sound towards the sniper.

'Such mastery...is he a naturally gifted wave controller?' thought the black march.

Meanwhile, the sniper who is about to shoot a bullet towards Kai's crotch saw him summoning a bang and shooting a shinsu attack with it.

"Wha-what the hell!? How is that guy able to use shinsu already!? Shit! Gotta run!" He then tried to stand up and run away.

Unfortunately, the shinsu attack is too fast as it hit him in the back.

Fortunately for him, the shinsu attack was too weak that it only managed to put a red mark on his back. Same as his bullet's effect to that person.

"Huh? It only did this much damage? Wait, this is the same kind of damage that I did to him...is he telling me that he will forgive me and telling me to just target another people? Damn...he's a kind man...whoever you are...Thank you dude...Alright! I'm still alive! Gotta run!!!"

He then run away before he saw a...

Huge alligator infront of him.

Meanwhile with Kai.

"..."

Looking at Kai who is silent, she thought that he was disappointed in the power of his shinsu.

"What? You still haven't trained it so its strength would obviously be lacking." Said the black march.

"Nah...I know that...it's just that...I think I saw...a huge freaking alligator..."

"Of course, that's what you are concerned about." The black march said with exhaustion on her voice.

"What do you mea-"

"Hey, look at that! He's alone. This would be an easy hunt for us."

""Hehehe""

Before he could finish what he was about to say, 3 men holding needles approached him from behind the boulder. They are all laughing as they approach him with predator looking eyes.

"Hehehe looks like we got some handsome bastard here. All I want to do is rip him to shreds"

"Nah, man. Let's make him dress as girl first before we rape him. I bet he would look gorgeous on a girl's wig." Said another guy with drool coming out of his mouth.

"Yeah, a hole is a hole even if there's some rod attached near to it." Agreed the other guy.

Meanwhile, Kai who heard them have no thoughts in his head. His face also have no emotion at all.

Meanwhile, the black march is just dying of laughter inside the needle.

Gay no.1 then got tired of waiting as he approached Kai and urged his brothers.

"Yeah, c'mon, bros. Let's capture him alrea-"

*Shhk*

*Gurgle*

Before he could finish his sentence, black march is already pierced through his throat. Before anyone could react to it, Kai also cut all of Gay no.1's limbs and d*ick as he falls to the ground bleeding of extreme amounts.

Seeing their brother in that state, they both snapped from their daze and glared and barked at Kai.

"...huh?!? You-you!! How dare you!!"

"Wha- what!? You fucker!! How dare you do that to him!! I loved him more than as a brother!!"

Both Gay no. 2 and 3 attacked him at the same time. Gay no. 2 swung towards his neck from the right and Gay no. 3 from the left.

However, before they could even swing their needle even a little bit. Kai is already at their back with blood splattered in his whole body.

The both of them got confused for a second before they felt excruciating pain as they looked at their groins and saw that there is nothing but blood in there. They then felt pain on their shoulders and thighs before they looked at it and saw that their arms and leg got cut off and are already on the ground.

Kai didn't even bother to look at them as they cried and screamed while they are in their own pools of blood and suffering from the excruciating pain.

He then said 3 words to them before walking away.

"Live. Suffer. Die."

He then bolted away from them as he looked for people to fight.

"That was brutal" said the black march who just finished laughing her hearts out.

"Pretty lame torture if you ask me. I'm just not in the mood to be mad so that's the only suffering that I can give them before they die."

"What kind of torture is worse than that?" asked black march innocently.

"You don't wanna know, girl." Said Kai as the wind blew his red hair backwards while he is running.

"C'mon, I'm quite curious-" before she could finish her sentence, Kai stopped running as a knife was thrown before him.

Kai then looked up and saw a guy sitting leisurely on a huge boulder looking at him. His hand's posture looks like he just threw something.

He has a silvery light blue hair that reaches his shoulder with a blue bandana tucked inside it, blue eyes, pale skin, wearing a semi formal attire consisting of a white shirt with a black tie and black pants. He also carries a brown briefcase with him.

He then smiled and spoke.

"Want to team up?" He asked Kai.

Hearing this, Kai was a little stunned before he nods.

"Sure, but..."

Kai grinned as he stabbed the black march beside the knife that was thrown at him.

He then looked at him with eyes filled with battle lust and said...

"You'll have to fight me first"
