On the dining table, there was only a pot of braised pork and two bowls of white rice.

The original owner, Hannah Winter, was not good at cooking, but for George River, she made the effort to learn.

On George's birthday, she prepared a whole table full of dishes for him, waiting happily for his return.

But it wasn't until late at night, when all the food had grown cold, that he finally came home.

He didn't taste any of the dishes. Instead, he just said coldly, "Don't do this. She doesn't, and I don't like it."

Upon saying that, he went upstairs.
