"I'm going to show you that the man you chose can't even protect you."
Their commotion soon alerted the security who didn't know George River's identity, and they promptly called the police.
Eventually, all three ended up in the police station.
George River, agile as he was, had a wound on his face. He wore a disheveled suit, but his imposing demeanor remained.
The other boy had to be rushed to the hospital because his injuries were severe.
The policewoman on duty started her interrogation. George River didn't attempt to justify his actions. When asked why he had assaulted the other man, he paused.
With a casual glance towards Hannah subtly sitting aside, he withdrew his gaze. His voice was cold, "No reason."
The policewoman was taken aback.
George River, though skilled, had unavoidably sustained injuries. He looked worse for wear, yet his air of authority remained undiminished even as he sat there in his rumpled suit.
But what did he mean by no reason?
