She reached the door and then turned around, laughing, "Don't forget to take your medicine. You can't die before the storyline is over."

There was a hint of laughter in her words, but Louis Snyder didn't understand. He wanted to ask, but she unhesitatingly turned around and walked away.

The sound of the door closing also took away the last bit of warmth in the room.

His head seemed to start hurting again, as if someone was hitting it hard with a hammer time after time. His body still reeked of strong alcohol, but he hadn't noticed initially.

However, when she left, the faint lingering fragrance also began to fade, leaving behind the suffocatingly offensive smell of alcohol.

Louis Snyder's head felt muffled and he gazed at the white pills on the table and the cup of boiled water, laughing cynically.

And didn't move at all.

Everything seemed like a dream.
