"Jeez, who could have thought there are people as desperate as them," she said while handing out a paper and a pen. "Oh and just fill that up with your information."
I took a closer look at the paper and saw that I have to write my name. My eyes were about to move to another sentence when I was interrupted by her.
"You know, club's going to be hectic this year."
I suddenly realized where she was coming from.
"Oh, the women's basketball tournament."
"Yes, yes. That thing." I continued to write on the paper. "Last year, we're casually playing with each other. I guess it changes now."
"About time to show off the power of women in your club."
"I bet."
I wrote down my signature as fast as I could. She then abruptly changed my attention to hers.
"And another thing." I sensed something different from her voice. She looked out the window as if gazing through an endless world. "I might break our routine of going home together."
I looked down and started thinking. This is the part where you choose passion or romance. I mean it doesn't matter, right? It's not like stopping to accompany each other when going home would change anything.
"Sike." My eyes widened and looked at her. She was holding the paper I was signing on the whole time. I read the contents of it while she's showing it to me and realized what she had done.
"You will accompany me for the rest of the school year!" She started to run. I stood up and tried to catch up to her. In just a mere second, the gap between the two of us is an insanely huge one. I watched as she ran passionately and gracefully. Her figure's perfect for an athletic person.
"Haah, haah." I panted as I rested myself by lying on the school wall. Realizing the huge difference when it comes to physical activity of an athletic person to a nerd like me is unimaginable.
The papers I signed unconsciously were a club application form. The good part is that it was from a club called "E-sports club". Something that I could tolerate. What the bad part is, the club is a huge one and I suck at communicating to others.
"Jeez, I hope she understands the benefits and consequences of her actions."

"Poor little boy; was so distracted by my ranting that he didn't realize I'd let him sign a club application form."
I started to walk knowing he can't follow me. I reached the school office and submitted the form without any sweat. I left the room with a huge grin on my face.
