They do exist

"They turned into WOLVES!"

My mind was screaming due to the recent view I had. Yeah, I really saw those two men turn into wolves, and currently, I can see them running after my car in the rearview mirror. They were looking almost like normal wolves, except for a bit bigger size. It was hard to believe in the reality of things, but I'm not that crazy to stop a car and go out in an attempt to catch the truth. I better reach some safer place, and the safest one, for now, seemed to be my hotel room on the last floor. I supposed it would be high enough for them to step back.

My car was driving fast for me to get rid of them somewhere on the streets, so I was able to stop my car at the back of the hotel, then ran fast to the inside. I closed the glass door, holding the handle.

"Mary, Mr. Kell, come here! Faster!" I screamed to the whole hotel without being worried I can scare other guests. After staying here for a few days, I understood there was no one except me.

"Letty, what's going on?" I heard Marry's voice and turned my head to her, still holding the door.

"Close the door quickly! Some strangers from the forbidden forest chased me! Quickly Mary!"

She probably hadn't understood even a single thing of what I'd said, but ran faster to me and closed the door with a key. Then, saying this door is from super-strong glass, and it would stop those strangers, we ran to the upper floor… just in case.

Mr. Kell found us running upstairs somewhere between the third and fourth floors.

"What on Earth does all of these mean?" He looked at us, breathing deeply, trying to catch some fresh air after a fast run. After all, we reached this floor in a few seconds, as I supposed.

"Some strangers, werewolves, chased me from the forbidden territory! They weren't looking friendly!" I said, still trying to calm down my breath.

"Werewolves?" He arched an eyebrow.

"Oh, c'mon, don't pretend I'm mad! They turned into wolves in my own eyes!" I yelled angrily, then turned to the window behind my back, seeing two werewolves reaching the hotel territory. "Here they are!"

I pointed to the window to prove my own words, then ran upstairs until I reached my room. My hands were trembling and keys fell to the floor with a loud noise. I heard steps behind my back, then a female hand caught mine.

"Letty, look at me. You're safe here"! Mary said, then pressed me to her body, as if to calm me down or protect me. I saw Mr. Kell take my keys, opened the door and three of us got inside, then the door was closed and barricaded with two-night tables… just in case. Mary put me on my bed, and looked at Mr. Kell, "Marvin, we need to call Aiden!"

"Go make her some tea, I'll call him," he ordered, then took his phone out of his pocket, and after a second, pressed it to his ear. I moved my eyes to Mary, going to my kitchen, then climbed to bed and hugged my knees. I was in such a shock that I was able to find danger in such a friendly city. After all, everything should be connected somehow, I just can't figure out how.

Mary brought me a nice smelling tea after a few seconds, while Mr. Kell was still trying to reach Aiden. He called him a few times but hadn't received any answer. After all, Aiden is probably very busy, but he should be informed about that. What if those werewolves will attack someone else too?

"Someone should go to the balcony and look if those werewolves are still there," I proposed, and took the tea from Mary's hands, then took a sip and sighed with relief. Its mint smell calmed me down in a second, "Thanks Mary, delightful tea…"

"I'll do it," she said, then looked at Mr. Kell, after that going straight to the balcony, while Mr. Kell sat on the edge of the bed, calling Aiden again.

"That's the last time. Then, I'll call someone else," he said and pressed the phone to his ear when someone answered on the other side.

"Sorry Marvin, Aiden is busy, he'll call you later…," it was a voice of an unknown for me man, but not for Mr. Kell. He sighed with relief, catching a conversation quickly for the call not to end.

"William, we have an emergency situation here! Can you send some guards to the hotel?"

"There's more of them! It was two before we got to the room, now it's five or six!" Mary yelled, running from the balcony to us, and closing it. Mr. Kell turned to her and rounded his eyes, still holding a phone.

"What's going on there?" The unknown man who took Aiden's phone and asked. Mr. Kell's phone was close to me, so I took it from his hand and pressed it to my ear, quickly explaining everything that happened.

"Some strangers chased me from the forbidden territory. I got there to look at the forest when I found some movement not deep in there. Two men looked at me, screamed, "red hair, it's her, get her," then turned into wolves and ran after me. I drove to the hotel. It was two of them, but Mary said there's more for now!" I said everything in one breath.

"Will be there in a few minutes. Stay where you are," he broke the call, and I gave back the phone to Mr. Kell. He hid it in his pocket, then looked at me.

"William should be here with some more people, they will protect you, don't worry," he tried to ease the situation, but it only put more questions in my head, than I had answers. Are they protecting everyone like they are protecting me? Why am I so important to both sides?

Suddenly, we heard a roar somewhere in the corridor and jumped from our places. We didn't know who it was, or how do they get here, but probably it was better to hide. If my theory is right, it won't stop a werewolf from getting inside a room, even if the door is barricaded.

"To the balcony! The glass will protect us, and the height is beyond their limits!" Mr. Kell took my elbow and guided me to the balcony. Mary closed the glass door after us, and we sat on the floor. I was still holding the cup of tea that I luckily haven't spilled on myself.

"How do they get there?" I asked with a strange cool voice as if I wasn't afraid. Wasn't I?

"Probably, we forgot to close the back door. But, it's mostly closed," Mary shrugged, sitting near me. Neither she nor Mr. Kell showed any sign of fear. They were either trained for such situations, or they just were sure that succor will be here in a moment and save us as superheroes. Everything seemed so unrealistic, I wanted to pinch myself and wake up from that dream, so I really did that… However, I haven't woken up.

We were sitting on the balcony floor for some time, looking at the closed bedroom door and waiting for something or someone. My patience was getting lower, I was ready to get out and gave those strangers a few punches I remember I studied a year ago. However, we heard some noise from the inside of the room or the corridor, then the door leading to my bedroom opened, and we saw two male figures.

"Alpha! Beta!" Mary screamed, and waved her hand, jumping from the floor. They noticed us, rushed to the glass window, and opened it in a quick move. Mr. Kell and Mary got to the second man who came inside, while Aiden hurried to me. He sat on the floor in front of me, but I wasn't moving, just watching him with my eyes, squeezing the cup of already cold tea in my hands. I was in such a strange condition, I can't find the right words to describe it. I was frozen.

"Are you okay?" He asked, then took my face in his warm hands, as if bringing me back to reality. I blinked a few times, then saw a tall guy with an athletic body, dark skin, and black thick hair dressed only in shorts reach us, then whispered something to the other guys, whom Mary called "Beta".

{Beta is the second man in charge of the Pack after Alpha, his loyal friend, and advisor, as I read in the books.}

"I don't know," I finally answered, then turned my look back to Aiden's blue eyes. I concentrated on his eyes, trying to vanish all the world around me just for a few seconds, "They made no harm to me, physical…"

"I'll explain everything later, I promise, okay?" He said, looking deep into my eyes and still holding my face. I nodded in silence, and he looked back to his Beta, "Let's go to my city office. It's safe there."

"I'll call and tell them that we're coming," Beta nodded, took out his phone, and immediately called someone, leaving the balcony, but the third man, who was just in shorts, was still there. Aiden looked at him.

"Clear?" After a node of that man whom I suppose can be a Gamma leader if to believe the books, Aiden stood up and held me in his hands, "C`mon Letty."

"It's safe there?" I asked, feeling I'm a bit scared.

"Yeah," Aiden took my hands and led me outside. I suddenly hugged him as tight as I could, and it made him only chuckle, and hug me tightly as well. No one reacted to my move, however, do I care what they think?
