A kiss

I blinked several times before his words became clear to me. My heart went on a race, filling the surrounding air with my loud heartbeats. Aiden gently laid his hand on my waist as if he already knew my answer.

"No… I don't…" I made a step closer to him, seeing him leaning down toward me. Then, in a second his lips touched mine, and flesh of light deep in my head made me step closer to Aiden and wrap his neck with my hands. He pressed my body to him, wrapping my waist in a cocoon of his hands, gently kissing me, without going deep. His gentle behavior made some thoughts and memories run back and force in my mind.

They were running one after another while Aiden was still kissing me as if he put some disk in my head at the same time when his lips touched mine. At first, the memories weren't so bright and clear, as if they were too old, then, with the more memories to come, I could differentiate them one from another.

The first ones were from my childhood: It was Aiden and me playing hide and seek in the forest; he was untangling my hair from the rose bush that was near my father's forest hut; Aiden laughed at me pouting my cheeks like a hamster when I was angry for his behavior. Then, I was thrown at a tornado of memories of us as teens: we were playing hide and seek in our wolves forms; Aiden was better at hiding than I was; my father was training me and Aiden together; we liked to lie on the grass and listen to my father's jokes; Aiden proposed me to date him, throwing my heart on a race after his words "I love you…"

The latest one was a memory of our first kiss. The bright sun was shining high on the skyline, making both of us sweat while we were running in the same park for no reason. He stopped at the oak tree, and I without seeing him bumped into his back. He turned to me, took my waist in a cocoon, and kissed me, without asking. My heart was threatening to jump out of my chest, too.

"Letty?" Aiden stopped kissing me, and I could see him with a bit of a confused look, "Are you…?"

"Do it again!" I pleased in an attempt to get more memories, but suddenly someone punched me as if from the inside, so I fell at Aiden and our lips met in a kiss again. Aiden was in shock. It was easily seen on his face, however, it hasn't lasted for too long. He hugged me tightly and kissed me again, but this time instead of memories, I got goosebumps running up and down my body. So I wrapped his neck tightly and continued kissing him, feeling my cheeks burn pink while we were kissing.

Suddenly, Aiden broke our kiss and took my chin with his fingers. I opened my eyes, seeing his blue-brown eyes in front of mine and melting. I wrapped his neck tighter to not fall, while he chuckled.

"I dreamed about that all three years…" he kissed my lips lightly again, then withdrew from me, still hugging.

"You're such a good kisser…" I slightly blushed from my words, feeling how the wind was playing with my hair. I looked up at his shining blond hair, which was moving as the wind blew at us. Not only that, but I finally remembered that I liked his eyes as much as his stunning hair, however, he was always complaining that there was nothing specific in his hair.

Suddenly, I felt that something started vibrating close to my leg, and we both looked down at his pocket. Aiden took his phone out and immediately rolled his eyes.

"What in the words' combination, "please, don't disturb," is so unclear?" he hugged my waist, pressing me to his chest while answering a call. He pressed his phone to his ear, "Yes?"

Meanwhile, I hugged his back and put my head on his chest, feeling the warmth of his body, and not only warmth. I could feel his every muscle, and it made me realize how good he could look shirtless. I shook my head, blaming myself for thinking too far.

"Aiden, I'm sorry for interrupting. I remember you asked me to not disturb you, however…" I was close to Aiden, so I could easily hear his Beta talking on the other side of the phone. His long introduction to the reason for the call made me straighten up and look at Aiden, seeking his reaction. He rolled his eyes right at that moment when I looked at him. Then, he looked at me and suddenly poked my nose with his finger as if I was a baby!

"Hey!" I pouted my lips, and he laughed, then hugged me tightly again, pressing me to his body, so I buried my nose at his shoulder.

"William, can you be shorter? What is the exact reason you called me?" Aiden specified, then put his hand on my back, making it rest there. I smiled. He enjoys hugging me. Perhaps he really dreamt about hugging me all those three ears…

"Yeah, sorry. Chris said that they took all the information from our investigation altogether, and they can say that the temporary settlement we've been sniffing is a fake one, just to distract us. They suppose the real one could be near that area where Letty saw them. It's on the eastern border of the forbidden forest, which can prove they're afraid to get far into it…" the Beta stopped talking as if being distracted or just waiting for Aiden to say something.

However, Aiden was listening carefully and overthinking every word said by his Beta, he was busy playing with the zipper on the back of my blouse. The zipper was there just as an accessory, and Aiden was playing with it while thinking. When his Beta stopped talking, he let go of the zipper and moved his hand back to my waist.

"So?" Aiden coughed to hide the slight irritation in his voice. He couldn't understand what for his Beta broke his order to not distract him, but didn't want to be rude by asking that directly.

"Can they go sniff that place where Letty saw them?" the Beta finally asked, and Aiden sighed with relief. He seemed to be worried about something, probably the reason for the call, but it didn't happen.

"Yeah, okay. That's all?" Aiden asked and, hearing "yes" as an answer, added before breaking the call, "If there's no urgent information, wait for me to be back to report."

He broke the call and hide his phone in his pocket. I looked finally up at him and my lips were immediately caught in a kiss. However, it was a short one and Aiden withdrew quickly. He was trying to be gentle as it was our first date.

"I need to teach them hot to report shortly," he sighed, and I straightened up.

"Yeah, if he wasn't so slow in reporting, we could have already started breakfast. What? I'm starving!" I complained, then laughed at Aiden's confused reaction. He chuckled.

"You caught me this time. Let's go to the Café," he took my hand and led me to the Café on the other side of the park. We got close and took a comfortable table in the street under a huge umbrella. Our table was unique as it was closed to the street and interested eyes by a big flower fence. There was only one small entry, through which a waiter already reached us. I just took my place when he bowed at us and put the menus at our table.

"Oh, no, please. I'm just a man today, ok?" Aiden's cheeks turned red from the waiter's bow, and it made me giggle at my hand for no one to see it. The waiter straightened up and cleared his throat.

"Sure, sir. Call the bell when you're ready to make an order. Also, is there anything I can bring you before the menu? Lemonade… Coffee?"

"It's getting hotter, what do you think about Ice Coffee, Aiden?" I looked at him with a smile, and he charmingly smiled back.

"Sure, sweetheart," Aiden suddenly took my hand and kissed it in front of the waiter, making me turn into a red lobster in a second. The waiter bowed his head again and withdrew quickly.

"Your cheeks turned red when he bowed at you!" I said with a smile, and Aiden's cheeks blushed again.

"That's not from his bow," he cleared his throat to hide his embarrassment.

"It is! You're pink again!" I said, and Aiden suddenly moved to me and started tickling me, making me laugh and twist on my seat, trying to escape his tickling fingers.

Aiden stopped and sit at his chair, grinning. I calmed down from laughing and looked at the waiter, who had just come to our comfortable secret place, put two glasses of Ice Coffee, and looked at Aiden, then whispering only one single word.

"Paparazzi…"
