The Wolf Princess

{Does he mean my stepmother?}

"Yes, Letty," Aiden looked at me, carrying me straight to the road. There he stopped and started looking around for a car. Actually, I thought it was a bad idea, as I doubt there would be someone driving through the forest. But I still had hope, as I didn't want Aiden to carry me to the hotel in his arms. Nope, of course, I liked it, but I was afraid of what other werewolves will say if they'll see us like that.

Aiden probably was distracted by a car, as he was silent for some time. Then, we saw a yellow taxi cab driving our way, but from the city. However, when it passed over us, it turned around and stopped just a few meters from Aiden. A taxi driver, an old man in his late thirties, went out of it and bent at Aiden.

"Sir, I got a message from Beta William to come to this forest and wait for you and a red-haired girl…"

"What a smart Beta I chose," Aiden chuckled, then sat in a car and threw a small blue bag I haven't noticed before at the back seat near him. He put me at his knees, and pressed me to his bare body, as to cover, but I had doubts it was like I guessed.

"Where, sir?" The taxi driver asked, taking his seat and turning on the switch signal, to indicate that he was going to turn back to the road. It was just a formality of a skilled driver, as the road in front and behind us was empty.

"To the hotel," Aiden said, then looked at me. I understood from his look that he didn't want to talk in front of the driver, so I just put my head on his shoulder, when my eyes caught a tattoo on his chest, on the heart area. It was a wolf's head with the letter "A" right under it. That's already the second tattoo I've seen on Aiden's body, but there in the forest, I saw he has more.

"I'll show them all later, fine?" he whispered in my ear with his seductive voice, and I felt goosebumps running up and down my body. Maybe, it was because of the animal instincts that had just waked up in me a few minutes ago. Perhaps, it could be also our almost naked bodies that touched each other. Or, the reason could be hidden somewhere else…

{Did we have sex before?}

I suddenly thought, but hasn't meant it as a question to Aiden. It was a question to my memory or my wolf, and I completely forgot Aiden can now read my mind.

"We had," he suddenly whispered in my ear, and I felt my eyes get round. Aiden laughed at my facial expression, and kissed my cheek, "Letty, we were old enough for that. You were seventeen, I was twenty."

"Hm… Now I feel more bad forgetting it," I cough to hide my embarrassment and Aiden laughs at my words even louder. His laugh echoed from the silent car, but neither I nor the taxi driver reacted. He just stopped his car near the hotel and looked at us in the rearview mirror.

"It's for free, sir…"

"No way," Aiden calmed down and put a greenback in the front seat, then took me in his arms and left. I hadn't seen how much he put, but I don't think taxi costs a lot.

No one even reacted at Aiden coming out of the taxi cab, being dressed only in gray jeans and sneakers. No one reacted to me in his hands, being dressed only in an orange small dress that was hardly covering my butt. There were no people around the hotel, only Mary at the reception desk, that was busy with some documents, and Mr. Kell who was arguing about something with a parlor chaperone, who was pretending he was a deaf one. We easily got to the last floor, then to my room, and Aiden put me on the bed.

"The head is spinning now, or it's stopped?" he asked, straightening up. I sat in the bed, pressing my back to the headboard, then turned my head in his direction and froze. For a moment, it felt like the world stopped existing around me, and there was only Aiden and his bare upper body in front of my eyes. Except for his every muscle, I could easily see some other tattoos on his body and hands, and I bet it made me drool.

Except for my name on his left wrist and wolf's head with the letter "A" on his chest, he had a short line tattoo on his torso, almost under his jeans. The line said, "Now or never." I got my eyes up at him, swallowing a drool. Then, seeing the tips of his lips stretching into a smile, I finally heard his question.

"Still…"

Aiden chuckled at me as if reading my mind about drooling over his body, then sat at the edge of my bed.

"The main one is on my back, but I'll show you another time," Aiden leaned down, took something lying on the edge of my bed, and put a T-shirt on himself, proving his words that it's enough drooling for today. Then, he looked at his watch, "It's almost midday. I wonder does your head spin because of the transformation or because of being hungry? You, and I as well, haven't eaten since yesterday morning."

Suddenly, his words hit me like a truck, and I jumped on my two like crazy, for a moment losing a thought about the spinning of my head. Of course, I lost balance as the world in my eyes turned upside down, but Aiden's reaction was fast enough to catch me. He pressed me to his body and a grin appeared on his lips.

"Running somewhere?"

"I was… I thought I need to cook as… As…" I felt the words stuck in my mouth, so I can't say them aloud. Aiden's eyes narrowed, and he looked at me in anticipation. I cleared my throat and pushed those words out of my mouth, "You did so much for me, you cared for me all the day starting from yesterday and before. I… I feel like a spoiled Princess who's been pretending she's sick and everyone around playing at her will. Also, you've spent so much time with me and weren't in a Pack. They'd probably hate me…"

I stopped, wondering why Aiden hasn't stopped me. He was listening to me carefully, but when I stopped, he suddenly started laughing. I don't know why, but it threw me into anger, so I turned around and intended to leave him when his strong hands caught me in a tight grip. I was still mad at for him laughing at me, so I tried to free myself.

In vain.

Aiden was much stronger than I was.

"Shhh…," he kissed the back of my ear, then his lips slipped down, and he kissed my neck, while his hands took mine, and he hugged me even tighter, leaving no space for escape. "Can I build my private life finally, or I should be lonely Alpha forever?"

The whisper of his soft, slightly seductive voice in my ear made me tremble. He kissed my neck again, slowly losing the grip.

"You're not a spoiled Princess, and I take care of you as you needed my help. Moreover, William is there in the Pack, and Matt should probably be back for a while. They were left in good hands, no need to blame yourself for nothing, Letty." Aiden loses his grip over me, but I didn't want to leave his hug, so I froze in the same place. He, however, did something I would have not expected.

Suddenly, he caught my hands, and turned me around swiftly, so both of us fell to the bed. He was upon me, and put our hands over my head. I saw my hair lying around me on the bed, making a puddle as if of blood. Aiden squeezed my hands tighter, then put his knee between mine and bent down, looking into my eyes. His lips were so close to me, that I could feel their warmth.

I felt my heart beating so fast that it was threatening to jump out of my chest. I can't say I was scared, perhaps, just disoriented.

"My Pack would never hate you. From the time you came back to the city, they keep talking about you, but whenever I came closer, they stop. They are whispering about you and me, who we are to each other. However, they like you. A lot of them. I heard them saying they'd like you to be the She-Wolf of Moonlight Pack, of MY Pack. You know what it means?"

I looked closely into his eyes, trying to catch the clue of his words. I can't understand where he leads and what should I say. Moreover, the position he put me in, for now, wasn't helping. Suddenly, I felt weak and not able to defend myself. Either, from the lack of knowledge, or from the lack of skills.

Or maybe both.
