The danger is coming

"Aiden! Aiden!"

We heard someone screaming on our back, and turned around to see William, running fast in our direction from the direction of the lake. Everyone who was near us turned their heads in his direction too and focused their eyes on him until he stopped near us.

"Aiden… I have…" He looked around, and his eyes stopped at me, "We need to talk, maybe in your tent would be better?"

He said that to Aiden, still looking at me.

"Both of us?" Aiden tilted his head down and run with his nose at the back of my ear. I flinched. Recently he's doing a lot of unexpected but so warm and passionate actions that make me melt like ice cream in the sun.

"Both", he insisted, looking at us and waiting.

"Then let's go…" I took Aiden's hand, and we both went back to our tent, leaving the curious crowd behind. When we went inside, I noticed everything is clean and in the right order there, as if someone made a mess here but cleaned it after. I smiled. Aiden is an ideal man, haven't I told it yet?

"What is the urgent news, Will? And why aren't you in a Pack yet?" Aiden looked at a watch in his left hand, then frowned.

"I overslept," he said faithfully, then looked at Aiden's watch, "I had a report from our people that those strangers are organizing an attack or some sabotage…"

"Sniffers team?" Aiden asked, looking at him. I narrowed my eyes.

"Sniffers? Have you sent them to look for the strangers while we're here?" I asked, arching an eyebrow.

"Right. I sent them on your father's territory to sniff on those strangers' actions before the camp, and left them there while the camp is going…" Aiden said, then hugged my waist and pressed me to his body, "We need to think what to do to make our people safe here and there…"

"All of us know their goal is not in a Pack," I suddenly said, after organizing all things I know about them in my head and understanding some things, "If they appeared here after I came to the city, as you said, William, and if they took my father's pack territory, then… their goal is me, and I'm here. So, they will come here."

"Same thought…" Aiden suddenly said, pressing me to himself tighter, "Still, even if their goal is you, the Pack should be safe."

"Then all women, pregnant and children should stay inside the Pack, and all male wolves can go patrolling on the territory, but on the small distance between each other, so they can see or smell the danger if there will be any…" I shared an idea, and they both looked at me. William bowed.

"I agree, that's a good idea. We have enough people…"

"If there will be not enough, we'll all join. Mark and Victor would help as well," Aiden said with his confident voice and looked at me, "Don't even try to think that's your fault!"

"But…"

He put his finger at my lips, then looked at William.

"Then I'll go and settle the situation there, you stay here. Keep your eye on Letty."

When he said he'll go and leave me here alone, I felt my heart stop beating and the ground under my legs vanished. I know… I know he's the Alpha, and he's responsible for all the people there, but… Likewise, I don't want to spend any minute of my life without him, and I can bet tears appeared in my eyes, but I smashed them in a second with my finger and looked at Aiden.

"I'll stay here, probably… to not… be a…" I stopped and cleared my throat to not let tears fall down.

"I don't like tears…remember?" He whispered in my ear, then kissed it and went down to my neck. "You understand everything, babe, right? I'm responsible for them…"

"I know. I understand. Just don't want to spend any more minutes of my life without you…" I kissed his neck and whispered, "Go and protect them. Your Princess will protect the camp…"

"My fierce Queen…" Aiden kissed me, then took some things he needed and went out of the tent, saying, "I'll be back very soon, and you, William, are responsible for her with your life."

"She'll be safe," William said, coming outside after him, while I sat at the sleeping bag, put my head on my knees, and closed my eyes. I don't want to go outside, I don't want to be there without him, but I promised. I promised to protect the camp, and how can I do that sitting in here?

Letting out a sigh, I stood up and went outside, looked with sadness at the place, where Aiden's car was some minutes before, then turned away and zipped the tent, then turned around and headed to the boys' side. They were standing near the fire.

"William, can we talk?" I asked him, and he turned his head at me, then nodded and went aside, so no one would listen to us, but before I could open my mouth, he answered my silent question.

"I'm next in charge and responsible for everything when Aiden is away, but you're his mate, officially, and even, if you're not officially Luna, you're in charge. I'm on your side to command…"

"You're literary my savior…" I blushed, then looked over the territory of the camp, "I don't want people to be hurt or injured because of me, so… I'll do everything to protect them, and I thought we could patrol our borders here as well. Furthermore, I think we have enough werewolves to settle some patrolling hours…"

"You're good at making plans, probably, that's one more proof you're Alpha's daughter inborn. Let's go and tell everyone the situation and what should we do…" He pointed to all the werewolves who gathered near the fire as if waiting for the two of us to come and tell the news.

"We don't need to scare them… Let's do it easily…?"

He nodded, then went to the others, and I went after him. We stopped near the fire, he's a bit in front of me, as if protecting, and I'm a bit aside.

"We know you're curious why Aiden suddenly left and what's going on. As far as you knew, the territory of my father's pack was called neutral, and until his will would be found, no one can live on it, but… The best sniffers team of ours… I mean, Aiden's Pack sniffed that some strangers live there. You know all of these from the letters Aiden sent you before inviting you to the camp, but…" I stopped to take a breath and organize my thoughts. William took the lead.

"I got a report that there are some movements from those strangers as if they are planning something. Aiden came back to the Pack territory to settle everything, and we, Letty and me, were left here to take care of the camp," he stopped and looked over all the people as if analyzing: do they understand the situation, or not?

"We talked with William and decided that to protect the camp and to prevent any possible danger, we better start patrolling the borders as well. We'll do it all, two hours each. Everyone agreed?" I asked, feeling my she-wolf is ready to be free. Everyone nodded, and before someone asked anything, I said," I'll start… "

I backed up, feeling how my she-wolf is taking control of my body. I shook my head and saw how my bright red hair became dark, then turned black and became shorter. My bones crack, my clothes were torn, my bone became thicker and longer, and a tail appeared. I felt how fur has grown and ran forward, then jumped over the crowd and jumped at my four, just near the fire. I looked with my Amber eyes at them.

"She's amazing!" Someone said from the crowd, and I noticed a small female head. Her hair was black and brown, like an Ombre or something like that, I'm not very good at such things. Her eyes were dark brown, closer to black if she was in the darkness. The body shape of that girl was feminine, still, she was looking like a small girl. Small, but very cute.

"Wendy," my she-wolf said, and roared, then turned around and ran away.

"Queen…" I heard a voice from the crowd, yet I'm not sure who said that.

I stopped at that road between Aiden's Pack, and my father's and went alongside it, feeling my paws stuck into the mud. The road between both packs was abandoned and not of good quality. I sighed, and it sounded like a silent roar. Yeah, I'm not that much used to all of this, anyway, I'm doing my best.

I turned my head away from the road and looked deeper into the abandoned territory. If they are planning something, they should appear from here, anyway, I should keep my eye on other places. I will not leave them any chance to hurt even one single soul. They will face me and will not go further.

I heard movement from behind and turned my head to see… Wendy. She looked at me from the down, I happened to be taller in the wolf form than she, and then blushed. She put her hands into the pockets of her dark-pink jeans and lowered her head. I made a silent roar and sat with my fluffy butt on the grass.

"You wonder what I'm doing here?"
