The silver wolf

The wolf was staring at me and didn't even move a single muscle, standing there for about a few minutes. From the time I noticed that wolf standing near the oak tree, it froze in its place, without moving, and perhaps, without breathing. How is it possible that no one noticed the wolf? Am I hallucinating?

"Letty?" Aiden's voice turned me back to reality. I moved my head at him so fast, that the wind blew in the opposite direction and all my red hair happened to be on my face.

Aiden's fingers touched my skin and moved the hair away from my face, then tucked it behind my ear. He gently put his hand on my waist, then pressed me to his body.

"Are you okay? It's not typical for you to stand still and stare at the oak tree, especially when dinner preparations are going on. What happened?"
