Do you think you are the cure of the curse?

Yun Meiyi deliberately changed the term 'boyfriend' to 'husband.' Just to note if there comes any change in Zhang Ming Kai's expressions. But there came none which only meant that he wasn't unaware of her relationship. And it further confirmed her doubts about him. 

Ming Kai, on the other hand, dipped his head a little and Yun Meiyi saw a flash of a smile curving his lips. And that smile carried some hints that Meiyi felt were concerned to her but she failed to decipher it. 

Her brows scrunched a little and he looked up at her before speaking. "Some strings are bound by fate. If you think they would get severed easily then you are terribly wrong, lady."

Yun Meiyi understood the literal meaning but she knew that the meaning of his stated statement was not limited to its literal meaning. Asking him about it would have dragged on for a long, so she did something that would keep the conversation very crisp and clear.
