Difficult to Kill

After walking down the corridor for who knows how many hours, she reached the end of the corridor, entering a fairly large room. The room had three massive pillars that supported the roof on the sides, while rivers of lava flowed on the other side of the pillars. In the center of the room, between the pillars on both sides, was a red carpet that led up to a throne, where a woman who looked fairly similar to the Inferno girls sat. The only difference was that her body was much more mature. She was none other than the inferno empress, Enya.

She stood up from her throne, her eyes void of emotion, as if she were a statue that could show only one emotion. "You've slaughtered my kin. You lustful demon, I'll make sure you pay for your sins."

"Oh, you saw through my facade?"

"You reek of vile energy." She raised her arm. Fire arose on her arm, followed by her swinging her arm down swiftly. "Die."

A vertical blade of scorching hot flames burst forth from her swing, swiftly cutting through the air, aiming to slice Aurora in half. She knew that if she was hit with this attack, it could possibly kill her, but she didn't cower—instead she flashed a confident smile.

"It isn't nice to greet guests by calling them lustful demons or vile." Standing behind Enya stood Aurora, stabbing her knife into her core. "Next time, you should do it more politely, so you don't end up dead."

Instead of Enya collapsing into a pile of dust—she found her still fully intact, showing no signs of injury besides the dagger wound she had created. She looked within Enya's body and found core—the difference this time was that it wasn't in its original spot. It had been moved, preventing her attack from hitting it.

Enya flashed a grin—her body instantly bursting into flames. 'Shit, why didn't I consider this?'

She barely avoided being burnt to ashes with her quick reaction, appearing ten feet away. Her dress had a lingering fire that quickly burned out.

"You can move your core. What else can you do?"

She couldn't keep her cool. Her face changed from grey to a peachy grey color, displaying her anger. Her eyes glared down at Aurora, tracking every move—her arms lit ablaze, followed by her swift swings, sending out large scorching flame blades at her in various angles.

When the scorching flame blades were about to hit Aurora, they stopped suddenly. Their speed was still visible, albeit at a snail's pace.

Using this chance to further anger her, Aurora went through the gaps between the blades. Aurora, ducking under two flame blades that were in the shape of an X, mocked, "These two were very close to cutting me in half."

Enya consecutively sent out blades of flame in an attempt to overpower her time-reduction ability. She could no longer think rationally after so many provocations given by Aurora—all she desired was for her to die, miserably.

Another fifty blades of flame were stopped by their reduction, slowly inching their way to her. Unlike the other blades of flame, all the blades of flame brightened before...

*BOOM!!!

All the blades of flame exploded, giving Aurora no chance to escape. With Aurora now out of the picture, Enya sighed in relief, thinking that Aurora had been killed. She considered Aurora as someone who was easy to kill, with the only difficulty being her time-reduction ability.

Feeling a breath against her ear, Enya looked back to see Aurora who was completely unscathed.

"How?" Enya couldn't comprehend how she survived, as there was no time for her to teleport or cast time reduction the second time.

"You want to know how I'm right here, and not a pile of ashes over there?" Aurora asked, getting a nod in response. "The answer is simple. From the beginning, I've been holding back, making you underestimate me."

Enya finally understood why she was unable to hit her, no matter how much she tried—now it was too late, she could never take the things she learned into practice as a dagger pierced her core.

When Aurora first attacked, she could've killed her immediately, but she chose not to see if she had any use in making her a servant. In the end, she found that Enya was not fit, so she decided to end her life with an aqua dagger, created from her imagination.
