Hunter (2)

Aurora dug out their hearts in search of mana stones from the dead monsters nearest to her and collected their corpses. Afterwards, she followed the path she took and did the same. When she was finished, she had only received four mana stones and dozens of items that weren't useful for her besides selling them for money.

Once she was done with collecting what she wanted, she left in search of prey to hunt, but decided to avoid hunting the snow wolves as she had a different plan in mind.

A few days had passed and not much had changed within the den of the snow wolves, besides that fifteen of the scouting and hunting team had been missing for the last few days.

Within one of the caverns of the snow wolf den were two snow wolves and three snow pups. One had pure white fur with crystal blue eyes and the other wolf had ivory fur with sky blue eyes. The pups' characteristics varied between the two alpha wolves.

"Anton, what are we going to do? In the last few days, the number of prey we've run into has been decreasing. Soon it'll get to the point that we won't be able to feed the entire pack." The white-furred alpha snow wolf said, with worry clearly seen in her eyes.

"I understand your concerns, Sierra, but our only option is to send out our hunting teams to deal with this unknown enemy before they kill all the living within this dungeon, and if we don't, we'll all be killed." Anton replied, helplessly.

They couldn't do much besides hope that their hunting teams would slay this enemy before all their prey had been killed. If not, they knew the enemies' next target would be them.

Meanwhile, somewhere nearby the den of the snow salves was Aurora, sitting on a thick branch within a tree as she chewed on one of the mana stones she had obtained over the last few days. In total, she now had around twenty mana stones.

'Now that I've dealt with the other monsters, all I have to do is hunt the wolves." Moving her legs, she seemed a bit happy. "It shouldn't be too hard with them being weak from their hunger, but I'll still hunt those that leave their den, as entering their den when they still have numbers and strength is suicide."

She glanced at her stats:

Hours passed, and the day turned to night. There had been no movement from the snow wolves until now, leaving Aurora to wait patiently, even though her patience was about to reach its limit.

But it didn't take much longer for her patience to be paid off when she sensed movement from the entrance to the cave. She opened her eyes and looked downwards, using her thermal vision to see that around 40 snow wolves had left the cave.

'Finally.' A grin formed on her face, expressing her happiness after waiting for so long.

She followed the snow wolves and found that they had all split up into four separate groups of ten, each going in different directions away from their den.

She knew she had to choose which direction to go, so she chose right, and quickened her pace to catch up to the snow wolves, where she would begin slaughtering them.

Once she caught up to the snow wolf in the back of the ten, it was killed in a matter of a few seconds, but like before, she didn't stop to loot it and continued on.
