It was still early in the morning before dawn. The moon overshadowed the world, bringing the littlest of light to the world. Aurora felt fatigued from the small journey as she didn't take any breaks.
She looked at the trees on the island and found a thick branch that could support her. She quickly climbed the tree and perched herself on the branch, her back leaning against the trunk of the tree.
After closing her eyes, she slowly drifted off into her dreams, finally getting the chance to rest from the exhausting day along with her guilt.
Time began to pass as the sun showed its first light upon the world. Aurora remained perched on the tree branch, sleeping peacefully.
As she slept, she was unaware of the dangers lurking around her. She couldn't have known with her having no knowledge of this swamp before entering with her recently arriving in this world.
…
Aurora, who was dreaming peacefully, felt a sense of danger around her—this immediately woke her up. Upon waking up, she turned everything within a two-meter radius into ice.
Looking around, she sensed that the tree was alive, as it screeched in pain from her defensive attack. Branches with sharp thorns were frozen inches away from her, seeming to have been trying to attack her in her sleep.
'Now that I know the tree is alive, why didn't I sense it when I first perched myself on the tree?' she thought. 'Maybe it goes to sleep during the night, and turns into a normal tree.'
Slamming her hand onto the tree, she froze the entire tree, ending its life at the cost of nearly all her mana.
After killing the tree, she opened her status.
[You've killed a Lesser Hybrid Nymph:
+ 14 levels]
'Why did this notification show up? I should have my notifications on silent, 'Aurora asked, confusion on her face.
[You killed a lesser hybrid nymph that has the traits of an Evil Nymph and a Plant Nymph. She worshiped the Goddesses of Evil and Plant Nymphs.] Alexa responded to her question.
'Oh, I see.'
Aurora understood that she received the notification due to killing the worshipper of a goddess and it being a special hybrid of nymphs.
After opening up her status, she allocated her stat points.

As Aurora went through her evolution, the ASP was still searching for the monster who had committed the massacre. They had asked the Adventures Association to assist them in hunting down the culprit.
Within an office was Rhys, who was looking through some paperwork on his desk. He heard a knock on the door of the room.
"Come in."
Kian walked into the room and stood in front of the desk.
"The cause of death for the ten victims who died in front of the Snowy Forest Dungeon Gate is severe hypothermia." Kian said, calm in his voice.
Rhys went into deep thought. After thinking for a while, he asked, "Their deaths must be from the monster who escaped the dungeon. Did you find any signs of a dungeon break?"
"No," Kian said, "There were no signs of the dungeon breaking. It was as if the monster walked out of the dungeon."
"I see..." Rhys nodded. "Keep on searching; we need to find this monster before it causes more harm to innocent civilians."
"Yes, Captain." Kian left the room, leaving Rhys once again alone, where he went back to the paperwork on his desk.
