"That's because you haven't told me the payment for that favor yet." She retorted, feeling annoyed seeing the amused look on Killian's face. Iris didn't find any of these amusing, especially now that not only did she lose Lord Kieran, but her family as well, save for Ren.
Killian hummed and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Then what do you have in mind, dearest Iris?"
Iris hesitated for a moment, her hand clenching on her lap thinking that there was no other way for her to protect Ren but to part with him and protect him from afar.
"Instead of me, wipe away all of Ren's memories. I don't want him to lead a life full of guilt knowing that our mother and sister were killed because his magic surfaced. I'll take all the blame."
"Do you know what you are even asking, Lady Iris? You are robbing him of his own identity." Killian had never thought that Iris would ask him something like this.
