Taking Back What Belonged To Her

Tang Wan's ward…

Tang Wan sat on her bed with crossed legs as she read the files in front of her. Her gaze was focused and her brows were furrowed as she scanned through the pages. She flipped the pages continually, taking the chance to mark a few points on the paper.

When she was done, she smiled with a relieved and contented expression. Then, she folded the file back and placed it on the pile of files that have already been read.

On top of the file, the words: 'Detailed information of all artistes' were printed boldly on it. The books were given to her by Fu Tinghao. Apparently, he helped her investigate the situation of the company and compiled everything she needed for her.

She remembered that he had promised her to bring Manager Lee, one of her father's most trusted aides. He could help her take back what belonged to her from her uncle. After all, even though he had taken over the company, he didn't have full rights over it.

Her parents didn't know of his conspiracy but because of the love they had for her, they already prepared a share transfer agreement before their deaths. Her father already signed the guarantee and all that was needed was her own signature. Then, she would retrieve it from her confidential safe in the bank.

She already had everything planned for the day she was going to take over. Of course, these plans were all confidential. Even Fu Tinghao had no idea of it. But, he didn't question her and simply did whatever she asked of him.

Tang Wan arranged the files and tucked them away lest others see them. She hid them in the drawer of her bedside table and was about to settle down in her bed again when the door was knocked and opened.

Fu Tinghao walked in calmly and Tang Wan could see a middle aged man tailing behind him. Tang Wan immediately sat up when she saw who it was.

She exclaimed with a smile. "Uncle Lee."

Lee Huang had been suspicious when an unknown man approached him and told him that Miss Tang wanted to see him. He wasn't comfortable but he feared that the young mistress was in danger.

So, he had followed along despite his suspicion. He had also messaged and informed his family about his whereabouts just in case.

Even as he entered the Fu Hospital, he was still skeptical. But as he entered the ward and saw the figure seated on the bed, a smile immediately bloomed on his face.

He couldn't care less about Fu Tinghao who he had greatly suspected and rushed towards her. "Young Mistress."

He sat on the bed carelessly and grabbed her hands, looking her over with worried eyes. His hands were trembling as he held hers. He continued to say with emotion, "Young Mistress, how are you? How are you feeling? Are you hurt?"

Tang Wan shook her head with a smile. She wasn't surprised by his reaction. He was one of the few people that treated her like their children.

"I've been well, Uncle Lee."

Lee Huang sighed and looked at her with regret swirling in his eyes. "I've always wanted to visit you but you know Feng Jun was in charge of your treatment. No matter how much I asked, he wouldn't tell me where you were admitted. He always boycotted my searches. He even told us that you were admitted in a military hospital. And you know how military hospitals are, you can't just go in without approval."

Tang Wan smiled. "It's nothing."

"How do you feel?" Uncle Lee continued to ask, obviously worried.

"I'm fine, Uncle Lee. You don't need to worry." Tang Wan replied before looking at Fu Tinghao who was standing by the doorway and staring at them without a word.

She smiled at him. "Thank you so much, Dr. Fu. If it weren't for you…"

"I already said I'd cater for all your needs within the time you're still a patient," Fu Tinghao replied, interrupting her.

Tang Wan shook her head adamantly. "But nevertheless, you have done a lot for me. Thank you so much."

Fu Tinghao waved her off and looked at Lee Huang who was watching the curiously before turning to her. He said as a matter of fact, "Then, I'll get going. I can see you're busy."

Then, he turned and left. Tang Wan stared at the door that had closed behind him and pursed her lips. She wanted to tell him that she would definitely repay the favor. But, she remembered that he would be leaving Suzhou soon. The thought of this made her feel regretful.

But she was only down for a moment. The next moment, she looked at Lee Huang and her gaze turned serious. "Uncle Lee, the day I was sent to rehab, I entrusted my divorce papers to you."

"Yes, Young Mistress," Lee Huang replied with a nod. "I kept it in a safe place along with the access card to the foreign accounts."

Tang Wan heaved a sigh and stared at him, obviously gratified.

She smiled, a dark glint flashing in her eyes. "It's time to put them all to use."

"What do you want to do?" he asked, worriedly.

Tang Wan smiled.

"Taking back what's mine."

Uncle Lee sighed when he heard her words. He looked at her seriously. "I seriously hope that you can take back what belonged to you. Let me tell you. The situation of the company is not going well under Yan Shu's authority."

Tang Wan's brows furrowed. She asked skeptically, "What happened?"

"He is not really good at managing the company. We're already suffering from cash setbacks. But, I don't know what those old geezers are thinking. No matter what your Uncle Ou and I say, they're not listening."

Uncle Ou was also Father Tang's trusted aide.

Tang Wan snorted, "Of course, they wouldn't. They must have all received bribes." Then she looked at Lee Huang seriously. "Thank you, Uncle."

Lee Huang merely smiled and reached out to rub her head affectionately. "Don't thank me. You're like a child to me. If I don't stand by you, who will? Silly child, you have suffered."
