I Have A Deal For You

The night breeze was cold. It was long and dreary. It blew through the blinds of the window and crept through the linens into the room.

It was especially chilly.

Just then, the man lying half relaxedly on the bed gasped and woke up. His eyes flew open and he breathed heavily.

He was rigid for some time and his breathing was shallow. He felt weak and unstable. The dreams that he had while he slept, he remembered all.

He remembered them vividly and they assaulted his mind occasionally. He was helpless against them and they troubled him.

It had been that way since he returned to the capital two years back. It was probably because he was surrounded by memories and familiar faces. That was why he moved out of the Fu family manor.

He initially thought he was better. He was indeed better. His mentor had acknowledged that.

They say all wounds heal. But, he knew old scars take time to fade.

He was still weak against them.
