'This name is way too long...' Isaac thought as he analyzed the Infinite Dawn Hearth Core technique, despite his instincts yelling at him about the dangers that could come about because of it. In fact, they have been yelling since the moment he saw the golden text on the wall.
If it was a normal situation, Isaac would never ignore the instincts that had kept him alive for so long on Earth. However, he was simply too curious about it. All the other texts had vanished from his head, so why not this one?
Suddenly, a blue screen that was accompanied by a loud voice appeared in front of Isaac, interrupting his train of thought.
[Hey! Heeeey! You can't just ignore me like this! I'm your system! HEEEEEEEEEY!]
"What the-" Isaac was taken aback. After the past few system prompts, Isaac had imaged the system to be a sophisticated, noble old man, monocle in his pocket and a cane in his hand. As it would turn out, he couldn't be more wrong.
The voice that came from the system was loud and shrill, echoing throughout the wide, empty cave. It had a slightly effeminate sound, making it sound as if it were the voice of a young girl.
Isaac was silent from a shock for a bit, before deciding to simply ignore the system altogether. It doesn't matter if it was an old man or a young girl, the system was still suspicious. In fact, he even assumed that the voice of a young girl was a purposeful choice, one that was made so that Isaac would let his guard down.
'This voice is really annoying though...' Isaac didn't really like children. In fact, he found them to be really annoying. They're huge money sinks that aren't useful to society at all. They're also so small, and so chubby, soft, always act so cute, and are just-Ahem.
Of course, one could make the argument that Isaac's current body was that of a child, but he was so confused about the situation that he decided to just not think too hard about it. After all, out of sight, out of mind.
Isaac quickly cleared his thoughts with a slight cough and went back to contemplating the technique that was laid out in his mind.
[Ok ok, what if I say please? Will you stop ignoring me if I asked kindly? Could you please stop ignoring me? Hey! Are you even listening to me right now?]
The system tried bothering Isaac a few more times, but now that it had lost the element of surprise it originally had, Isaac was unfazed. He just calmly sat with his legs crossed on the soft dirt and his eyes softly closed. He only focused on one thing: the Infinite Dawn Hearth Core Technique.
-----
Every day, every hour, every second, something new is created. A new thought, a new speck of dust, or even a new life.
To embrace this creation is where the core of the Earl of Dawn lies. To be reading this technique, you must be the one chosen to be the Earl of Dawn in your world. Very well. This manual will help you comprehend the technique of the Eternal Dawn...
-----
As Isaac was reading through the technique, a strange energy was slowly sneaking into his head. However, Isaac, who was too focused on the technique, wasn't able to notice as he thought about what he had just read.
'So it's just the same non-sense that the original scripture had been spouting out, huh? I thought it would be something better.' Isaac wanted to exclaim out loud before thinking of ways to go back to his own world. However, he didn't.
It wasn't that Isaac didn't want to say it, but instead that he couldn't. Strange thoughts started invading his mind. If one were to look at him, they'd notice that the energy that was on top of Isaac's head had disappeared, aside from a few strands that were seeping into his head.
'The Earl of Dawn! My lifelong goal!' An excited voice yelled out from behind Isaac. Right as he turned to see why the kid had been yelling, he realized that he recognized the place he was in...
Suddenly, the space around Isaac warped before he was back in a place resembling his childhood house, back on Earth. It was completely preserved, as nothing had happened to it at all. "Wait...this is my house...does that mean..." Isaac muttered as he frantically looked around.
Soon, he saw a tall burly man with a figure that reminded him father back on Earth start to speak. 'Remember son, becoming the Earl of Dawn is the greatest honor to ever be bestowed upon someone! If you ever get the chance to become one, do it!'
Then, the scenery started fading away, leaving behind an empty whiteness. "Dad!" He tried calling out, but it was to no used. His father was already done. Just as tears were about to well in his eyes, the scenery changed again. He was suddenly inside of a classroom with a tall, skinny woman with black hair standing by the black board at the front of the room.
He saw his first grade teacher, Mrs. Sally, standing in front of a blackboard, pointing to the picture of a sun. 'Children, if you even see an Earl of Dawn, make sure to show your respects. After all they have it all! Power, fame, happiness, you name it, they have it! If you ever get the chance to become one, don't even think twice about it!'
He looked around the classroom, reminiscing about the peaceful times before feeling like something was wrong. "Have I ever heard of an Earl of Dawn back on Earth?" He muttered before throwing out suspicion.
After all, how could a random scripture here, in the middle of nowhere, know about his parents? It made no sense. His feeling must just be due to him misremembering. Yes. That must be the reason.
Then, the setting changed. Isaac was able to identify where the area around him was the moment it had appeared in his head. The old house with sliding doors, the planked flooring, the beige colored wallpaper, the sweet aroma of cookies drifting through the building.
Then, as if to confirm it, he heard a gentle, soft voice that was filled with love. 'Remember Isaac, no matter what struggles you may face, if you become the Earl of Dawn, none of them will matter.' His grandmother spoke as she ran her wrinkled hands through his hair. 'Because of the Earl of Dawn is all-powerful.'
As the scenery faded to white again, Isaac cast away his doubts. 'That's right! If I can become the Earl of Dawn, nothing else matters! I was such a fool to erase the texts on the wall, but it might be too late to become a partial Earl of Dawn with this technique!'
With a goal in mind, Isaac sat legs crossed, on the cold, soft dirt, comprehending the technique in his head. He slowly took a breath, filtering out the mana in the air as the technique had told him to. Then, he allowed the mana to flow into his lungs to enrich them with its mystical properties.
Following this process, Isaac slowly practiced the technique. Soon, hours passed. Soon, these hours turned in days, and then to months. Time continued on, until.
"Aha! Finally!" Isaac exclaimed loudly, his voice filling the empty cave with excitement. Around him was a coat of gold aura, similar to the one he had adorned when he first saw the scripture on the wall. However, this new aura was much more vibrant and thick compared to the old one, almost to the point where it was incomparable.
'After 9 whole months of effort, I've finally done it! I've mastered the Infinite Dawn Hearth Core Technique!' Isaac was elated with joy.
When he first started trying to analyze this technique, Isaac had never, even in his wildest dreams, expected for it to take so long. However, once he started reading through it, he couldn't stop himself.
'Now I'm finally a true, well, partial Earl of Dawn!' Isaac was beginning to celebrate his massive achievement. After all, it had been Isaac's goal since birth to be an Earl of Dawn! Who wouldn't want to celebrate achieving their biggest goal?
Isaac had been dreaming of this day since he was a child! Or was it?
The feeling of unease that Isaac had been feeling just kept growing. 'Ever since I finished cultivating the Infinite Dawn Hearth Core technique, I've kept having these strange feelings, as if something was wrong. However, it didn't matter. He was finally an Earl of Dawn.
Casting aside his doubts, Isaac stood up for the first time in months and heading towards the exit of the hole. With such a powerful technique in hand, there was no one who would stop his tyrannical reign over the world he had been placed in!
