Chapter 36

Antonio took me to one of his more exclusive restaurants in the city of Chicago. It was situated in the most posh area by Lake Michigan with a beautiful view of the waters. They served deliciously made seafood and every plate was like a work of art. Me and Antonio sat at a table by the windows and even though the restaurant was full of patrons the tables closest to us were empty. Probably because Antonio want’s to dine in private.

I was enjoying the evening more than I had anticipated. Me and Antonio had more in common than I thought and he was in a perfect mood for little jokes and light banter. I had yet to bring up the fact that I had a project with James and needed to meet with him on monday after class. The night was so perfect that it felt stupid to bring up a subject I was sure would put an end to it.
