The woman froze there. Though she was threatening the man since she was afraid, she had never thought that someone would really recognize her.

"I never thought that I would not only meet you in the dark alley but I would even see you without escorts. This is not a safe place to be!" said the man with all seriousness as he waved his hands.

All the men following him took a few steps back and let go of Oli and Amber.

The eyes of Oli twitched. Who would have thought that the owner of a gambling house and a criminal would say such righteous things to others.

"That.. i.." Amber felt at a loss of words when her face hardened, "I do not think that I owe you an explanation. But since you know who we are.. Let us go! Or my father will not let you go." she said with her head raised high.

Since the man knew about her, she could use the power of her position to subdue her. With that thought, she felt her lost confidence back and would be the hero this time.
