Keep An Eye

"Yes, I wanted to collect the proof against her majesty if possible. When I read the report that you were thrown out of the palace, I unconsciously believed that it was because of her and your truth will help me in taking her down."  he stared at her face with a look of uneasiness.

If only she knew how correct she was!

"Then what changed your mood?" he asked with some difficulty in his chest as wild thoughts started to form there.

"Nothing.. I know nothing about you and you did not want to tell the truth. Of course, there would be no proof either. It is a blind gambling. But I am still ready to do it. But are you?" she asked with a raise of her brows as she turned to look at him when she still felt his face turn pale and a look of hesitation passed in his eyes.

"It would be better that I try to look for the truth at other places too. Who knows, I may find something worth using tonight." she did not ask him again or forced him to tell her the truth.
