The Whirlwind Wedding

Zander scoffed, his arms crossed over his chest. "You're not going anywhere."

Alora's eyes widened in disbelief.

Zander's tone remained firm as he added, "You'll be living here anyway."

Alora: "..."

Alora swallowed hard. Yes, she will be living in the palace but she had grown so used to her father's endless coddling that it felt foreign to be neglected or treated harshly by him.

So, in true Alora fashion, she began her act. "Mother…" she called out dramatically, turning to Eugenie. "You should reconsider living with my father. He has changed."

Zander wanted to cough blood after hearing his daughter, driving him away from his wife.

Unimpressed by her daughter's antics, Eugenie grabbed Alora's ear between her fingers and tugged, earning a yelp. "You want to get married in a week, and yet you're trying to drive my husband away?"

"A week!?" Zander's voice shot up several octaves, his expression frozen in sheer horror.
