When Ares realized it, his hand was being held by someone. It was a tight grip that didn't seem to belong to someone that was about his age. It was too strong.
He looked at his left side and saw Arwin holding his wrist. He had a grim expression and had a fork on his left hand. It was the same fork that Ares was holding a second ago.
'He is fast... Way too fast...', Ares thought, frowning hard and casting a sharp look towards that boy.
Nonetheless, Arwin wasn't the only person that tried to stop him. The girl with long blond hair attached in a ponytail and purplish eyes put her hand on the face of the boy that Ares was trying to smash against the table, preventing him completely from doing so.
'This girl also has a lot of strength... I am trying to push his head, but it's like I am already pressing it against something solid and immovable,' after staring at Arwin for a long time, he turned to that girl. Their eyes met and she maintained her gaze until Ares averted his eyes.
"So, will you really try to stop me?" Ares was boiling in anger inside. If they tried to do something, he would gladly beat them to a pulp.
"You know, I like genre equality, so I won't go easy on the ponytail at all," he threatened.
Arwin smiled at his words. He liked Ares' personality a lot, not out of empathy with him but because it was more fun to bully people like him and see them crumbling down slowly as he pressed them even more.
"I think that you are very arrogant for the level of your strength. I am out of your league, bumpkin. If you stay too confident on the techniques that you learned with the peasants of a countryside village, you will end up hitting your head against a wall that you cannot surpass," Arwin advised with a sarcastic smile.
Ares smiled at him, with a defiant look.
"Why don't you try your luck?"
"Hey! You two are doing too much noise there! Do you want me to get up and do something?" The half-asleep person who paying attention to Ares' moves before raised his head and looked at them with a pissed-off expression.
"You were sleeping until now. Why don't you go back on your own before I force you to do it?" Ares replied arrogantly.
A pressuring aura began to be exuded by that boy, who was probably one of the eldest teenagers of that dormitory. It was an orange aura that stood out from his black clothes.
"I want you to repeat it on my face, you brat," he snapped his fingers and neck before standing up and walking to that table.
"You can't even smash grapes with these princess fists of yours and are going to challenge the three of us?" The girl asked in a mockery tone. "Don't make me laugh. With hands like this, you should be on the girl's dormitory!"
Everyone on the refectory was smiling while looking at that scene. Ares had just triggered the fury of the three strongest people among the trainees. Surely, they would make him pay for what he was doing.
'Damn it...', Xavier thought as he gritted his teeth. 'Ares is committing the first mistake of every trainee: stand out too much! Should I try to help him? I don't think that I can, though... And, seeing how things are unfolding, I can only guess that he will nearly die.'
Xavier was desperately fidgeting on his table. He tried to get up two times, but his legs had no strength.
"Damn it, Ares! Why would you do this idiot thing? I didn't think that you were so unreasonable!" He muttered with himself, cursing earth and heavens for his bad luck.
Ares seemed to be pretty calm while being surrounded by those three strong people. He was still holding the neck of that boy, who at that point had already fainted due to the fear of being impaled with a fork.
'I already dealt with packs of ten wolves at once and won without running away. Do you really think that I am afraid of you three?' He thought, amused. 'These people will see... During this next week, things will be very interesting for the dormitory of the trainees!'
Ares lifted the boy's head again, suddenly showing a peak of strength that he didn't show before. Arwin got surprised that his hold wasn't enough to hold his arm in the same position.
Ares pushed the boy downwards again, this time using all his strength and body weight on that attack.
Not even the girl's hand was able to hold the attack. The boy's head got slammed on the metallic table, crumpling it.
Once the three strongest teenagers saw that scene, they immediately backed away a step, raising their guards.
Arwin threw the fork in his hand at Ares as he retreated.
Ares easily dodged that projectile as he prepared to defend a sneak attack coming from behind. The girl with the ponytail could stealthily walk around him and attack from a blind spot. However, Ares was paying attention to her and defended her kick.
The crimson-eyed boy needed to grit his teeth in order to not show pain. Although Ares wasn't behind them in terms of strength, they still had more technique, which increased the final potency of the blow. His resistance was high, but not enough to absorb such attacks.
Ares grabbed her ankle faster than she retracted her leg. He kicked her pivot leg as he pushed her away, trying to make her fall, but the girl supported her body on her arms not to fall and got to her feet again.
The eldest one charged towards Ares. After he stomped the ground, a crack was left on the floor, showing his superior raw strength.
'He is... reinforcing his body with Mana!' Ares thought, realizing the danger that was coming in his direction.
