There was a time when humans abused too much of the world. A time when Nature decided to turn against them. A time when the sentence for their sins and crimes finally came. 

It was called the Great Curse. Some would say that it was a blessing since it gave humans the mysterious energy called Mana, which made them capable of using magic. 

However, most saw it just as the name said: a Curse. 

The mana invading the world brought consequences way greater than magic. Soon, beasts called Ancients began to appear, and that's when humanity's future would change forever. Those beasts were born to annihilate humans, after all. 

Nonetheless, humans are selfish and stubborn beings. They would defy the Gods, Nature, or any supernatural being that opposed them. No matter the curse, no matter the blessing. 

That's when the Beast Hunters were born and the eternal war for the survival and supremacy of humanity began. 

Little did they know that their reaction would be the start of a tale, the tale of the Legendary Beast Hunter, the Apostle of Wrath; the man of crimson eyes and hair. A human whose hatred would break the earth apart...

That is my first book for this account, so thank you very much for reading this. It may have many plot holes and mistakes, so I am sorry may any of these appear. 

As you might notice while you read the first dozens of chapters, my English is not perfect, maybe worse than average since it is not my native language. 

If you see any grammatical mistakes, please scold me so I can get better and better for the next chapters and books coming ahead xD

The legendary beast hunter

As you may know, our family has been great over the centuries for a simple reason: we are the ones capable to create the strongest of all mages, the bravest of all daring warriors, the wisest of all wise… There wasn't a single generation of the greatest soldiers of the human continent that didn't carry our surname! Our family is, by far, one of the greatest, if not the greatest one out there!"

Everyone inside the hall clapped their hands excitedly. The only ones that weren't much excited about that speech were the members of the Third House.

"However…", Garland started, casting a sorry look towards his family, "sacrifices are needed in times like this. Sacrifices that will help us to reach our objectives. That's the very purpose of the division of houses in our family, after all.
