The man gave some steps forward before he stopped and bowed to them, showing profound respect.
"I hope that you didn't hear anything that was said on top of those walls, Colonel Hera. Those people must show more respect to soldiers like you, who did things that you didn't agree with just for the sake of humanity. While many may judge you, I, the general of Goliath Fortress, can only offer my admiration."
Colonel Hera got quite surprised upon hearing his words. Most people, even the Generals who chose her role in that war, looked down on her as if she was a criminal that just was powerful and influential enough to get away with it. That General in front of her was an exception, apparently.
"I am very thankful for your kind and honorable words, General. However, I don't think that any of my actions are worth the admiration of anyone, not even people who understand my side. It was just an atrocity, I must admit."
