Amy sat at the same table as Darius, staring at his face and not bothering to ask for anything to drink or eat.
"It's about this boy," she said, interrupting him before he could say anything.
"That's how you talk with your superiors?" he snorted.
"There are no superiors among the Beast Hunters."
Her flat and frivolous tone of voice made a vein pop out on Darius' face, but the latter controlled himself not to snap at her. Amy was always like that, after all.
"Well," the man moved his eyes to Ares, who was being welcomed by the other Beast Hunters who were in the mood to do that, "he seems to be a good boy to me. Not good in terms of personality, but determination. That's all we need. Idiots who are willing to give their lives on the battlefield."
"You just called everyone here a bunch of idiots, you know? Yourself included."
"Yes. I meant what I said."
Amy shook her head, sighing.
