Crow

"Hey, they said it is starting," the bulky guy who was renting the room beside Ares' room reported.

"Who said it?" Ares asked, his face still slightly sleepy. Anyone who looked at him would think that he slept for hours, but the truth is that he barely closed his eyes.

"The superiors, of course," he rolled his eyes. Sometimes, Ares's wariness toward him and the others was quite annoying, though he could understand why.

"Take your position on the village's borders as fast as possible. I am going ahead."

Ares nodded and entered his room.

He didn't need to organize many things. He always had his armor on and let the weapons close to him when he was trying to sleep. He only needed to put on his hard leather boots and get out of the room.

Once he stepped outside the inn, he could already sense that something was off. The Mana Signatures around were more intense and their type was not what you would expect from humans.
