~INTO THE BORDERLANDS~

BY THE FIFTH DAY AT THE TOWER OF IDES, Marsil, the vampire Prince acknowledged he had gotten a good grasp of the journey ahead. While no knowledge was quite enough and no study insurmountable, the Prince knew they had to very well be on their way. They had abided the Tower for too long.

So as the morning rose on the fifth day, Marsil too awoke with the dawn. His friends still lay asleep in their bedchambers, drowsing into the soft beds they had for the night. Marsil allowed them the few moments of peace. They were about to travel once more and the Prince knew for the journey ahead, there wouldn't be anymore comfy beds and embroidered quilts.

So he let them sleep while grabbed hold of a candle and glided soundlessly down the bronze steps of the Tower. He came by the place where the horses were tied and tended to the grunting beasts. They nuzzled into his hands and he fed them with edible mulch also prepared by the Tower's sentient Kitchen.
