~THE MANY SHADES OF SIN~

...

MANY A WORSHIPPER HAD GONE UP INTO THE GRACE TEMPLE only to surge back out more broken than the moment of their entry. Their heads would droop and their shoulders would sag.

Why?

Because to most of the devout followers, the Seventh Flame had abandoned them. It didn't help that the Graces were always there to utter some remark that the reason of their unanswered prayers were the consequences of their profanity and sinful indulgences.

The Fraters of the Temple always blamed the Faithful who approached them with this plight as having committed one inpious act or two. Something that had angered the gods in their disfavor. Some of the Faithful bent heads to confess such slights. Many of them stormed out the Temple with enough ire to boil water in a cauldron.

Only a select few really cared for the Pantheon—enough to feel sorry for their sins.
