~A QUEEN'S TRUTH~

_ _ _

THREE SOLEMN DAYS HAD PASSED since the death of Rebelle Cranmer, Lady of the White Keep. It seemed utterly conflicting that the illustrious woman was found drowned in the loch tide her own home, the White Lake.

She had been kept in the dome of the Grace Cathedral from the time of her death till the even of the second day.

It was the dusk of the third night since her drowning, and as the Temple's bells rang for the Vespers, a gathering of people formed at the head of one of the high pillars that shored the coasts of the Carrean sea. The pinnacle was high on the rocky cliffs of the eastern borderlands and as the sun dove down the glimmering emerald waters, several highborn Nobles and athel Princes were revealed upon the crest of the promontory. 'Tis was the even of Rebelle's funeral and it seemed that the weather itself was aware of this wilting occasion.
