CHAPTER 18: CILIREN

Niafell world is one of the many worlds out there but it's not everyone that knows that. In this beautiful world, there are five continents namely Enethor, Halton, Thysalen, Precox, and Ronuan.

In the continent of Enethor, there are three kingdoms in total and they have been living together in harmony for centuries. After the invasion of the devils around three centuries, these kingdoms that have been fighting each other like crazy teamed up together and became one family.

The three kingdoms are namely Iwarim, Seltosh, and Jahnim. There are several sects on Enethor and of different levels. Competition is there and it is these sects that protect the world from any external dangers.

In the kingdom of Iwarim, there are several cities of three tiers, first tier, second and third. The royal city stands on its own and doesn't belong to any tier and it is one of the cities that most people want to visit.

Ciliren happens to be a third-tier city but it is quite popular. In this particular city, three big clans have been the pillar of the city for centuries. They were into pill-making, weaponry, and beast taming.

Of course, these weren't the only industries in the city but one would find restaurants, brothels, bars, inns, hotels, bed and breakfast, transport firms, and many others.

It was a bustling city and whenever something good happens, the news will always spread. Just like every place in the world, there will be battles among the people, wars among families, and winner take.

People will get sick, get old and die. It was just a normal process people were used to. People were used to competing with each other and the best way to compete was to see how many children in a generation can be admitted into the big sects.

The three big families were always competing with each other, intermarrying, scheming against each other, and so on.

However, apart from the big families, other families mattered. For example, Marcus came from a blacksmith family and they made a lot of money from the profession.

He wasn't however interested in blacksmithing and luckily the elders didn't force the younger generation to follow in their path. There was always someone in every generation who has a passion for it so that person or people will be in charge of the business.

The rest will go on and do what they want. Marcus wanted to be strong and see the world with his beloved who happened to be a child from one of the big families, for sure their status didn't match at all.

As for Lucy, her family was merchants but they have cultivators in the mix as well. They can be considered to be a family of shrews after all businesses needed people who think like foxes.

The family didn't lack money which is why their hearts didn't bleed when they bought expensive herbs for Lucy to awaken her talent. It was unfortunate that it didn't happen but some cheap food managed to do that.

My greatest regret was failing to acquire the shop and provoking the representative but it was good that they fixed that problem. Now Lucy who used to be a ball of fat was somehow slimming naturally and she was cultivating perfectly.

The family was very surprised when they first heard of the news, they thought that the kids were joking but when they tested Lucy, they still couldn't believe it so several tests were done until they truly believed that she had truly awakened the talent.

They also investigated the person currently running the shop and as big shots it was very easy to gather information and knowledge that Alayna ran away from *** village some months ago after being forced to marry an old widow when her adoptive father died, they thought that they can bully her and get it for some quick buck but alas they were wrong.

Luckily, they didn't spread this plan of theirs otherwise they would have become a laughing stock.

Marcus spread the goodness of the shop's food to his family and even let them taste it. They became so addicted to it that he returned with some of the family members and someone was in charge of sending some of it back home.

Lucy's family and her other four friends began to do the same too. They didn't dare to spread the news as they were afraid that if there are too many people, it will be very difficult to get even a jug of water.

But good things, as well as the bad things, still manage to get out. A certain journalist from one gossip news agency suddenly noticed that the famous Lucy who loves food and frequents several restaurants was nowhere to be seen.

Using her unique talents, she managed to find out about one place, 'Dark Forest'. Hearing this, she didn't even wait for a second and rushed there. She scouted for some news from the locals and she managed to find out that there was a shop in the forest but it wasn't open by the time that she arrived.

The next day she visited the shop and followed others that were going there and she was shocked to see how popular this shop in the forest was. She even stood in line, seeing some famous faces lining up, she took mental notes seriously.

Her snooping around paid off when she witnessed a shocking scene of Olivia's maid getting zapped by the lightning. She applauded the shop lady for being strong and firm in front of bullies.

She returned back to Ciliren and wrote a touching news report that took everyone by surprise. The city was filled with a lot of rich people, there were even visitors too who came for different purposes to the city.

So, when the newspaper circulated, people began to get curious about the mysterious shop and began to take a journey there.

With so many curious people wanting to know more about the shop, Alayna benefited the most during this time and got a lot of customers and earned a lot of money in return.

One and half months after the shop opened, the city of Ciliren was graced by someone from afar. She wasn't planning on dimensional traveling at all but wanted to teleport to an island where she buried her treasures before going into a slumber, who knew she would find herself in some completely different world.

After checking this unfamiliar world for a few days, she became customed to it, learnt the language, and mixed in with the locals. She was lacking a void stone needed for her to return so unless someone in her family notices that she was gone, she was going to be stuck in Niafell for a while.

But to her being here was also a good thing, she was tired of being stuck there, she wanted to see something new and experience the life of the commoner and the news about a mysterious shop completely enticed her.
