Dinner with the couple

"What should I do? I'm really on the edge right now." Ren told Ivy.

"You should follow your heart Ren. How do you feel about Noah? We've talked about this before, but this time it's different, he confessed his love for you. You must at least know what you feel about him, right?"

Ren felt sad, it's not that she doesn't like him or what, but she's thinking about what Mar would feel.

Ivy noticed that Ren get silent again. "There you go again being mysterious and all with your silence. I know you're thinking about the chief and you don't want to hurt him, right? Don't you think it is unfair for him not to know what you feel?"

She looked at Ivy and was about to cry, "But I really don't want to hurt Mar. I love him so much that it hurts me to see him getting sad and upset. I know he is jealous of Noah."

"But you just said that he let Noah inside the house and even let him eat dinner here in your hut. Don't you think that if he doesn't want Noah to stay, he would let him eat here? We know the chief, and if he doesn't like things, then there is nothing we can do about it. Nothing can make him do things that he himself doesn't want to." Ivy explained.

Ren thought about it and she thinks that what Ivy said makes sense. She also knows that about Mar. She remembers Milly, the girl who keeps flirting with Mar, but didn't succeed because Mar doesn't like her.

"You're right, I guess Mar is not jealous of Noah, anymore." Ren replied.

"Come on, why would he be jealous? He knows for a fact that you love him. I'm pretty sure that he can feel that you are protecting his feelings. Besides, you two have a child together. And that child makes your bond stronger as mates."

Ren smiled, "Thanks Ivy, you really are good at this. I'm so glad we can talk."

Ivy smug, "Of course, you also did the same to me when it comes to Agni."

Both of them hugged each other, making a sandwich out of Ezra.

"Oh, I'm sorry little Ezra." Ivy said to Ezra.

Ezra giggled.

Both Ren and Ivy laughed.

Ren looked at Ezra then faced Ivy, "I think I should talk to Mar first. I want to know what his thoughts on this matter."

"That's the best thing that you can do. Be honest with him. Chief is a nice guy and he would understand if you talk to him."

"I know that, and he deserves to know about what Noah said."

"Yes, that's right. But wait, before you talk to the chief, you should think about what you feel about that Noah guy first. For me, I think I know what you feel about him, but the question is, do you know?"

"I'll think about it later." Ren smiled.

Mar open the door and went inside with Agni.

He took Ezra from Ren and picked him up.

"Let's have some tea and biscuits." Mar said.

"Yeah, that would be nice." Ren replied happily.

She then went to the kitchen to make some tea and get some cookies for everybody.

Mar put down Ezra to let him play. And the four of them are happily having their conversation.

"Stay for dinner Ivy and Agni, we can have some nice grilled furry fox and some fruit wine." Mar told the couple.

The couple looked at each other in agreement and then faced Mar. "That's great, we will stay for dinner, thanks chief."

Ren is so happy hearing that they would stay. She can spend more time with her best friend Ivy.
