CHAPTER 69 The Black Mud

  Strangeness seemed to follow Gerardo around. The encounter forced him to remove the mask that had been protecting his nose and face. The peculiarity that is highlighted here is that all traces of blood have vanished. Gerardo was able to regain his sense of smell, which had become the odor of blood.

  Gerardo could only sit pensively like a fool in front of the cup of coffee he had ordered earlier, because what happened yesterday was so strange. Gerardo pulled over and found himself alone on the roof of his company. Gerardo appeared to be floating in the air, and he had sealed the entire roof top so that humans would not be able to see Gerardo.

  His mind was racing, and he was struggling to recall all of the whispers as well as the image of Livanna that was beginning to stick in his mind.

  "I didn't mean to bother you, but why are you popping into my head right now?" Gerardo was upset.
