Rose is the sweet and kind-hearted secretary to the cold, calculative and unbelievably hot CEO, Alec. She finds herself naked, covered with only his shirt, lying in his bed after a drunken night at a corporate party.  
She is enraged and blames him for taking advantage of her but Alec swears up and down that they hadn’t spent the night together. He doesn’t tell her the full story, to protect her from further embarrassment. She relents and ends up believing him. So, she was dumbfounded when she found out a couple weeks later that she is pregnant!  
Alec is surprised but equally happy when he finds out that Rose is pregnant with his child, the heir to the Xander Business Empire. The only issue? Rose believes that since they had never shared a bed, her ex-boyfriend must be the father instead. Her ex, the CEO of a failing rival company, shows up in hopes of ensnaring Rose back to him.

　　The next morning Alec wakes up feeling refreshed. Having taken his Rose over and over again last night with gusto had soothed the burn that always erupted when he was away from her.


　　Suddenly he wonders if something his friend had once mentioned to him was true.


　　A few months back, Alec had run into his college friend while he was in Boston and right after one drink he had insisted he had to leave. When asked what was so urgent, Alec had mentioned Rose. His friend had commented that it seemed like Alec was too deeply connected to her and probably had separation anxiety. That time Alec had laughed it off as he was leaving for him. But these last few weeks those words had flittered around in his head.


　　Even the thought of separation from her seemed painful. Breathing in the sweetness of her essence from between her twin peaks, Alec feels blissful.
