That night Alec sleeps with Rose in his arms thinking maybe the next morning things will be different. But by the time he wakes up he finds his Rose missing from the bed and the whole household is in a flurry of activities.
He remembers they are all supposed to move to the hotel that afternoon. Eric and Sarah had decided to do away with their bachelor and bachelorette party but had kept celebrations at the hotel over the entire weekend.
Striding over to Henry’s room he hears his son complaining, no doubt to his Rose. “Mama, why is aunty Maya not staying here with us this time?”
Rose giggles hearing his question. “Oh! You are missing your aunty, Maya? I shall tell her to come over here. But uncle Mark and Carina can stay there only. Is that, ok?”
Color floods Henry’s cheek as he pushes his head into mom’s chest trying to hide his face. Alec hears a muffled “Mama please” followed by more of Rose’s giggles.
