Chapter 29

  “Are you okay?” Juno asks him, concern etched on his face. “You look like you are troubled by something…”

  “I... uh... I am just nervous.” She whispers. “I have never danced in front of so many people.”

  “Don’t worry. I won’t let you fall,” Juno says, tightening his grip on her waist. They waltz around slowly, Juno leading the steps and moving according to the music played by a group of people. The tune is so pleasant that Niya regrets not being able to enjoy it fully. If she hadn’t been pulled around like a doll, she would have had a lot more fun. Juno is excellent as Chase said last night; his posture is perfect which makes Niya ultimately look bad.

  “Are they humans?” Niya asks, pointing towards the ones handling the instruments.

  “Yes. My father is fond of human culture and their music.”
