Chapter 59

Niya was fuming when she came out of everyone’s radar with Amara. It is not her style at all to listen to insults and sit quiet. No one has ever dared to call her that ‘B’ word. It is not that word only, it's their ignorance to the real problem threatening to destroy the peace of this place. If she was in her clan she would have definitely mangled some faces today with her claws. But she had a point to prove and she did it.

“Niya you are hurting the child,” Chase says, catching up to her and Amara.

In her rage she didn't even realise that she was holding Amara’s hand too tightly, but the girl didn’t make any noise or struggle against her. A silent trickle of tears is running over her soft cheeks making her eyes red. She lets go of her hand and takes a moment to calm herself. After a few deep breaths she turns at Amara.

“Why didn’t you tell me that I was hurting you. Whenever you are in trouble you have to be aggressive and scream for help as fast as you can…”
